Joy
Joy
Joy can be a moment
A period of time
Or even a permanent state.
It depends on how much of your heart you follow.

I wonder if I followed all my dreams
How many hearts I would break.
And if I listened to my heart
How many dreams I would take?
(Gerry Aldridge)
I will never say NO
Instead, I'll tell you to wait my child.*

Today I pray that you'll give me the patience to wait
I may not know your plans for me, but in your will I trust
I believe in your perfect timing
I believe that everything happens for a reason
I believe and trust in You
Please cast all my doubts, help me believe and trust in myself too
I'll leave everything to You
Today, I finally decided to continue the battle. Got an iron will today.
Ignorance is a light
that many men follow
and I too for some time
was a fool to its flames
.

*Oh the bliss of heaven’s reaching,
formed upon this fertile ground
Lingering desires touch us,
felt of love we now have found

Morning Glories, gentle weaving
velvet blooms in midday blue
Climbing higher, painted visions,
beauty as I find in you

‘fore the sunrise, silent breathing,
passion dawns within your smile
Strolling ’tween the dew drop wishes
here with you a little while

Morning shines her new beginning,
sweetly we embrace the day
Lost in love and nature’s wisdom,
witnessing her grand display
Within the four walls
Below a roof
Busy with play of words
The poet is aloof.

The sky is breaking low
Pitter patter rain
Capture they must the flow
Of drizzles soothing pain.

Outside on a stretch of green
Drenched to the bone
A man with cracking skin
Hoeing from morn.

The toiler is tasked to ****
Paid by the hour
Must earn the precious quid
Whatever the shower.

The poet is lost in the toil
To grow his rhyme in shower
The **** works fast the soil
Growing hope by the hour.

Caught up with a fear
of losing you,

so I

try to keep you
unaware
that I let myself disappear

try to remember you
unaware
that I've forgotten myself

try to hold onto you
unaware
that I let myself go

I was too blind to see
that as I try to make you alive
unconsciously I slowly die

J.H.
There is so much to say,
So much to see;
So much that sometimes everything
becomes overwhelming.

Language becomes cumbersome
and redundant;
Eating laborious and emetic;
Around family and friends you feel
out of place and superfluous,
Almost gagging on anxiety if
conversation floats your way;
Unfiltered thoughts overcrowd your mind,
thieving every ounce of your concentration;
Darkness fills your soul,
and it aches with every breath.

But then, one day,
after perhaps many difficult ones;
The sun rises and shines through the window
with the iridescence that only the sun can;
The birds sing their sweet sweet song,
inviting your ear drums to beat in alignment with all living things;
You find a pen in your hand again,
scribbling and scrawling your now interpretable thoughts;
Your shoulders, which were stooped, are now straight and
you stand tall in the stiff breeze, dreaming of possibilities.

Your alliance rekindled
with this enigmatic thing
called life.
