I am a sinking ship
I've hit the iceberg
not just the tip
I am a sinking ship

I am a sinking ship
I'm crashing down
I've lost my grip
I am a sinking ship

I am a sinking ship
All hope is lost
there it slips
I am a sinking ship

I am a sinking ship
we've reached the end
of our trip
I am a sinking ship

" Underwater ****,

Days Roll,
Screaming Soul...

Slow Burn,
Intense Yearn...

Her Name???
Forgotten Lanes...

Her Eyes,
Beautiful Lies...

A Living Reverie,
Eclipsed By Tragedy...

An Incomplete Story,
Spouting Irony...

Fourth of April,
An Angel's Betrayal...

Few pairs like "Underwater ****" or "Fourth of April" won't make sense as they are personal, but then it's better if few things never make sense anyway.

cause falling is the painful part of waiting
cause waiting is the best part of hoping
and hoping is the painful part of bleeding*

You told me never to fall for a poet.
That their metaphor coated tongues
would inevitably cloud my judgement,
Yet every time you compared my smile
to a fresh bag of wind
My sun would creep out from between
the overcast and warm my bones.

You told me never to fall for an athlete.
That their cunning games were played
both on and off the field,
Yet the way you looked at me
contradicted your actions so
thoroughly you left me feeling
meticulously played.

You told me never to fall for a scholar.
That their strict lives were led by their
reason and not by their heart,
Yet every time you confided in me I felt
as though your calculated mind held
all the answers to the universe
overshadowed by your desires and
motivations

You told me never to fall.
Yet you pushed me.
