Odd Odyssey Poet
Bent butterfly wings, a tepid moment;- waiting, craving,
as the yearning burns for the poet who lit a joint.
Burning so brightly was a passion, it burnt all night—
as like a taste of words, so forgotten in the lips of those
that I had kissed long before.

Still, it’s as dead as the scent of old gravestones- in
the blood of their veins, that feels like the suicidal
resting in pain. For I had buried my heart in a place,
-since life points out moments of feeling worthless,
my pen becomes pointless; - This poet is like a loner,
writing only for himself, like warmish water- that you
can only bare for a moment. Alas, I don’t deserve to be
called a poet; for right now that poet feels so hopeless.

I can’t soar any higher; my wings are bent.

the drums of war never
seem to
cease
hence why the world cannot find
a lasting
peace

in every corner of the globe
the people ask the same
question
is it necessary for yet
another warring
session

the drums
reverberate
the drums
won't abate
the drums
constantly beating
the drums
not retreating

and so the drums of war
stay
thereby negating that peaceful
day

I took my love, I took it down   Climbed a mountain and I turned around
And I saw my reflection in the*   snow covered hill
'Til the landslide brought me down    Oh, mirror in the sky, what is love?
Can the child within my heart rise above?
Can I sail through the changin' ocean tides?
Can I handle the seasons    of my life?         Mmm
Well, I've been 'fraid of changin'  'Cause I built my life around you
But time makes bolder  children get older
And I'm gettin' older, too 2x
Well, I've been 'fraid of changin'  'Cause I built my life around you
But as time makes you bolder   children get older
And I'm gettin' older too,   I'm gettin' older, too
take my love and take it down     you climb a mountain you turn around
if you see my reflection in a snow covered hill
the landslide brought it down
And if you see my reflection in the snow covered hills
Well, a landslide brought it down, let the landslide bring it down.

Ladies-in-waiting
reflecting on
a fragile state of mind

precarious creatures, these
hunters of coal
that outlines both
eyes and words

black paint for blue girls,
they pray in a circle
for their queen's wedding night
to be one of celebratory rapture

deep into the looking glass
they peer for a sign,
a soul, a stigma,
but cannot see
beyond their own glib faces

a universe ago they
caparisoned as pixies
in sunflower corsets,
twirling in a centrifugal forest

tonight in eclipse,
in their all-together,
they merely wear masks
of their former selves

the firelight dramatically shifts
in bacchanalia pratfall
--the oblong menace
of their smiles, fingers and navels
dancing to the age of Sideria

Have  you ever felt the days
                Go by so fast
Dare yourself to dream
Clear your mind
You never know
What you will find
Stay on the ground
Don’t be bitter
Fill your heart
With glitter of hope
Deliver the words of our savior
Sometimes we are afraid
Expand your life
Demand to love yourself
Clear your mind
You never know what
        You will find
Say bye to hazy days
