In the glory of dawn and serenity of dusk, in the crisp winters air and a cool summers gust.  As the leaves flutter in autumn and the rains cleanse in spring, I'll always hold close to me these very few things.

The radiance of your smile and the warmth of your embrace.  The sweet smell of your hair as it caresses my face.  The soft touch of your skin as it passes over mine, those very gentle moans as our bodies intertwine.

White paint peels off to leave the walls bare,
naked and exposed to
elements.
Much like her soul.
Starved of love and affection,
accepted but not wanted.
Tolerated.
The sun casts her shadows on those
she frowns upon,
leaving winding roads to spiral out of control.
Time shifts her world from
it's axis as it progresses,
it doesn't heal,
it doesn't lessen,
It just is.
Echoes of your voice ricochets
to find her heart,
carrying the exact weight they
did the second they fled your tongue,
never shedding an ounce of momentum

"The waves of pain
that had only lapped at her
before now
reared up high and pulled her under .."

Mantis

"Come into my parlour,"so says she.
For,she is the vicious queen,
Suggesting that perhaps he needs to die,
Female mantis kisses,
as only femme fatale, can do,
Attraction of the keenest,
Trial by jury.
Injury perhaps,
She used, abused you,
spat you out.
She's never safe to be with,
of that there is no doubt!

Place your hand upon my chest.
It reminds me how it feels when it's mended.
Then use it to cradle your head while you rest.
The worst of it, like the day, has ended.

Carbonation
In the perforations
Of my pupils
Pops
Like one million little
Tiny bubbles
Swirling to the top
And I am lit

Just like a lantern on the lawn
I sway with wind 'til
Night is gone
Tumble with you
Toward the dawn
