Who among us
will write at the end

Who among us
the last to contend

Who among us
will capture goodbye

Who among us
won’t wither then die

Who among us
will stare it all down

Who among us
our destiny found

Who among us
will proffer the word

Who among us
demand to be heard

Who among us
will write the last song

Who among us
—will bridge the beyond

my love,

just give me this day,
as if we are airplanes, parading, and
flying in between the clouds,
                               gray sky,
clooooouuuuuuds,
like in those black-and-white (II war) documentaries,

i promise,
not to add other colors to them,
why should i,
when the original is the original,  and
it has to remain original,

my love, what is the point in watching colored war movies,
when Africa, like a fire,  was coughed up in the middle

Claiming your goodness
—results in its loss

(Dreamsleep: November, 2023)
blue fire surrounds you
tints you sacred
extends itself in waves
to all who meet you
saves
them from their ignorance
and the a-theism of their minds
saves
them from their dis-ease of the heart
begins to bond them to themselves
and baptizes them in the Blood

this is no strange fire
it is the fire of the burning bush
the fire that leads by night
and is smoke by day
ever present in the wilderness
of exodus:
the blue fire of Love
