Where high tide leaves her debris
Mankind took a breath and stood up,
walked into history then harnessed a horse
invented the wheel grew mechanical wings
sat atop a rocket and landed on the Moon
But still is so full of war he thinks he invented his superior self
and his superior self wants it all at any cost except to himself
and where high tide leaves her debris you find the bodies of children, women and men who were trying their best to simply live, and having taken their last breath are strewn across the beaches of Greece.
Sit, fast.
Lie down if you find privacy.
It's a wave, cresting over you,
And you wonder,
Should I continue breathing?
Gulp, and let the wash begin.
Look to the feet first,
And calm your soles:
Work the legs,
Think outside the head,
But stay down -
You'll walk again,
And wait, and forget,
Then forgive yourself.

What ever it is
it is
What ever it was
it was
ain't no season
ain't no reason
We were just
doing the best
we could
Lives
blowing in the winds
doing what we thought
we should

The earth it
twirls
We were just trying
to make it
through the day
putting together
some kind of way.

What ever it is
it is
What ever it was
it was -
Ain't no reason
Ain't no season -
Just doing the best we could

Memory will tell
us lies about
the way it was
Memory sometimes is
on our side
Memory sometimes has lots to hide
but either way
What ever it was
was exactly
the way
it was

Every time I walk
down that line
melancholy's gonna
sing the blues

It just is what ever
it is
Just is what ever
it was

I guess that's okay with me

There is no reason
There is no season
We were just doing the
best we could.
It’s not what I thought
Youth wasn’t all carrot.
Once past its peak
I was shown its stick.
God willing, she said,
Looking at the dwindling garden flowers
This winter we’ll have blooms of marigold.

Her clayed hands some smudged on her face
They speak of her hard stolen recess
From the grinding chores of running a family
And still when the wind turns cold
Dream for beds of marigold!

God willing
Before her dream’s warmth fades
The garden will be blooming with marigold beds.

Arms wrapped around each other in the cool green grass
A slow gallop picks up speed
A parade of sunlight combusting yellow sparks
Across the plain run the yellow mares
Procession of flashes light up our faces
My girlfriend smiles and wets her lips in the sun
I on my way to becoming prince of golden dreams
Drown my face in the sunshine of her being
She gets up and lets fall a thousand golden flakes
Shake off slowly all that kissing
In the tender brightness of our storm
I get up as well and reach towards her
My arm brushes her neck causing fire sparks
In the friction of love
She rolls into me and we slow gaze at each other for a while
In our golden embrace
We notice our possible future
Ahead of us
A stream of sunlight

The wild gallop of golden desire
A chance to mount the yellow mares

The Dedpoet
A God visits a city,
An Omnipotent One whom
Walks among the dire,
And a woman passes through.
Suddenly she sees God
And her face falls to the ground,
Her blood runs cold
And she feels death coming to her.

But God was confounded,
In all the scared places
In all the faces of even astonished angels,
And the Holy spirits that stopped
To witness the moment,
God did not bring about
Her final moment.

And God remained silent
Outstretching His arms.

But the quaking woman would not
Raise her face from the dust
Where people trampled
On the concrete day in and day out
In inept and rushing,
Still even more a lone tree
Buried among the concrete jungle
Shook in fear,
And the consecrated moment changed.

God,
Mercurial and fiery,
Compassionate and understanding,
Did not and could accept
The woman's reaction,
God with His arms outstretched
Would reach for every human,
And every human still
Trembled in His presence.
And God left the city,
His amorous presence could
Not inspire the people with
Holy reactions of love and embrace
For their true Father.

And God went unto the Heavens,
Arms outstretched,
Alone and omnipresent.
The results of preaching fear.
