You have imprinted
My heart
Like a fine tattoo
And the ink
has stained it
black and blue
like an intricate
henna
in swirls and whorls
a complicated design
in flowers and laurels
every move with
the brush
is fine
It enters
my skin
like a vine
goes into the bloodstream
straight
to my heart
and mixes up
the beats
tears them apart
I need to heal
And let it dry
But instead
I find that
The needle
Is too sweet
(though it makes me cry)
Yet I want more
Of this art
This sleek decoration
I want it all
In glorious, colorful
vibration
Tattoo me, my love
And make me yours
For you have colored
My soul
For forevermore
do
something
because
it pumps
the blood
through your veins
because
it releases
endorphins
because
it’s natural
as breathing
because
because
you don’t need
a reason

Taking in this breath.
My chest would rise to its peak.
And at its crest I'd count the seconds...

Shhh, I hear my heartbeats -
sure but muffled as if enveloped
by a heavy blanket of the quiet
in the night.

A beautiful sound -
this clock in my body makes.
Whispers promises of continuity,
possibility and hope.

lost
he
he sits and stares
through glazed eyes

wondering what life could be,
beyond his lies

secrets secrets secrets

envelope his racing mind
causing him to scream inside

what would life be,
if he were no longer trapped inside?

Noa Adler
Softly.
Run your fingers across.
Never break the touch.

Gently.
Look into my eyes.
Make yourself welcome.

Slowly.
Grasp it with grace.
Silently dissolve.

Beautifully.
Uncover yourself.
Merging into one.
