Left For Dead

Ants crawling up my leg,
blood is what they beg.
Jack Frost nipping at me nose,
this is something I oppose.
Cat has got my tongue,
cigarette smoke fills my lung.
Woodpecker pounding my forehead,
all these animals need to be fed.
Alligators rip off my hands and feet,
my poor body is now incomplete.
Maggots oozing from my brain,
nothing stops them, even rain.
Vultures and buzzards,
tearing apart my carcass,
all these animals are in focus.
Bugs flying all around,
never seen something so profound.
Nothing is left, just bare bone,
how I died is still unknown,
in a swamp left all alone.
My skeleton hangs from a tree,
somebody had to do this to me.
Two weeks later I was discovered,
if they only knew,
how much I have suffered.
Never did identify my body,
I even head lined Hard Copy.
No heaven and no hell,
just darkness and time to dwell.

All I can hear every single day
is to study hard, and get good grades.
But no one could see, how much I've tried,
and a wall blocks out all my screams for help

Every single test paper I take
is just a reminder of how dumb I can get.
Demoralizing me in every way possible,
I seek for the easiest way to end all my misery

Time continues to fly past
and day by day I'm falling further.
Left stranded in my own despair,
I resorted to what I know I would regret

Filling my lungs with disgusting black ash,
I wandered around alone and lost.
All the pain has now been numb,
as red liquid flows out from the cuts on my wrist

cursed
She is seventeen

She heard his wish - the boy who wished upon her at the balcony. She heard his worries. About how he is worried of not passing his examination, about the way his parents treat him and about the way his heart never settles since the day he left his significant other.
                             "Was it my fault?"
He asked as he buried his head in his palms and stare at the falling stars on that one lucky night. A moment there he felt like the star answered him. A moment there he felt the star is looking at him in hopes he feels the magical feeling she is feeling now that she is seventeen. The magical feeling she felt and how she is too naive that she fell at first sight on the boy who told him his worries. She fell to the earth of her feelings.

She is seventeen.

Was it really hope? Did she really fell in love with hope? Or was it still the boy on that balcony? She felt the presence of faith and she knew faith was always right. By the time she really fell head over heels on hope, faith brought a friend.
     Trust.
Was she strong enough to trust?
Was she strong enough to have faith in her hopes.
Yet she still has hopes on waking up the next day with faith by her side and trust in her heart.
So, how does it feels to really felt right?
How does it feels to have the feelings at the right places?

She is seventeen.

"Do I really want to stay like this forever?" She asked herself.
To have no worries and be a child at heart and out. To escape the reality when she really need reality to escape the magical feelings.
Did she really took Peterpan's hand and flew to Neverland and never came back?
                                     Did the sleeping pills worked?
When the clock strikes 6, and the morning came, her mom at her door knocks on thrice.
"Jane, wake up." With a voice as soft as the feelings of her comforters that surrounds her body.
                                                                        "In a minute."
She took his hand and flew to Neverland but once she saw the mermaids in Mermaid Lagoon, she swam and fell in love with water. She sat on a rock and hold Peter's hand and again she felt those magical feelings again. She kissed Peter's cheek and told him,
"I need to escape this magical feelings."
And so she woke up on her bed.

She is seventeen.

Forgiving was hard.
           Forgetting was harder.
Yet, those words seems so easy for her now.
The magical feelings that has long gone, made it harder.
She swam through life and sometimes she would choke on the water and stop. But she knows the ocean is big and she never stopped swimming. She met the dolphins and fishes, she even met a few big waves. But she knows there will be a boat right behind her to save her when she's drowning.
Sometimes she felt it is stupid for her to not sculpt her life before doing anything but she loves the water ever since the Mermaid Lagoon so she continues what she loves. Sometimes she feels someone looking upon her like the boy at the balcony who told her his worries. She felt the pixie dust who tried to help her bit by bit; trying to let her fly and skip the horrendous waves.
                                                          Sometimes she used it
Sometimes she told him no and she swam again.

She is seventeen.

Yet she danced on Jupiter, hopped on the rings of Saturn, fell in love at first sight, went to Neverland, met the mermaids, her first love was someone who never want to grow up, and she swam the oceans. *Was she still a beautiful aurora?
I answered one of my friend's prose so I used some of her words but, do enjoy.

soul growth of
a tree, the leaves
drop with every word
you let free.

leave a barren old twig,
knowing you did what you must
and said what you hid.
but remember,

don't
leave without
a twirl or a spin
of the heart, or the gift
you have to give will stay
forever, from this world, apart.

pandemonium
When I find a place that invites me in like I'm a long lost relative,
I would do anything for them
and that's a weakness because when I let myself be pushed around,
these strangers I call family
will treat me exactly like how my family did.

Here is where I find myself conflicted
running away just to find another home that ended up to be
the exact home I barely got out of;
like escaping from a lion's mouth straight into a crocodile's.

Why am I always fooled by gold-painted stones
why do I always fall right into the wrong book
I've come across these type of characters so many times
why stay and taint their existence that even they wouldn't claim.

I try to fix the broken but my hands did anything but
and left inked-fingerprints on shattered glass
it's only about time until they discover whose it is-
I hope maybe I'll be gone by then.

I try to pull away from the hook that's been tied to my spine
realising it too late that it's slowly ruining me
reeling me back to a home I desperately want to get rid of
but I know these ghosts won't find peace if I keep falling back to them
and that's the curse of leaving a mark.

Roger Turner - Poet
I won't travel to the city
There is nothing for me there
I won't travel to the city
Not even on a dare
I won't travel to the city
I'm fine right where I am
I won't travel to the city
And I don't give a ****

Years have passed
I won't forget
Where I stood that fateful day
I was shopping
In the city
God Bless The USA

I won't get on an airplane
I'm much safer on the ground
I won't go back to the city
And I won't forget the sound
I've driven on the turnpike
And I just turned around
I won't go back to the city
I watched them tumble down

Each time I try to leave here
the taste of concrete dust
fills my throat with acid
and jet fuel fumes and rust
I won't go to the city
And though it may seem strange
I was there when horror happened
With a cop...and now I'm changed

Years have passed
I won't forget
Where I stood that fateful day
I was shopping
In the city
God Bless The USA
