Words of a Dying Poet
Membis Okorie Oct 2016
WORDS OF A DYING POET_ Membis Godwin

I have traveled to all edges
I know the worlds entrance and exit
Where seas flow from and to
The real colour of the Ancient Rainbow

I hear the words of all creatures
And knows when a flower smiles
My black hairs have grown bard
It have with wisdom been painted

But, now am dying gently
My rear knowledge shutting calmly
All I've acquired will recieve shelter
By gasket, decay and grow a diamond flower

I wish I could be buried naked
My flesh aside my knowledge

NATURAL PRAYER_ Membis Godwin

My Lord: my God,I say this prayer not for me,
But the One in my heart
who 've stood by me:
That my languishing sympathetic friend
Who walked with me in wilderness till end.
I pray not for Favour, fame nor wealth:
All would end soon with conquering death.
Health and friends to mary with: I don't pray
Rather, for what that would always stay
Here and here-after_ all in peace of mind.
I pray for that to in that weary-heart stand,
Watered daily by what the eyes sees,
What nose breath and what the soul feels.
May the slim Spirit grow strong and mature
And may my Friend fall in love with Nature.

"From Rio de Janeiro in Brazil
To Johannesburg in South Africa
From Bombay in India
To New York in the US"
Souls fight faith
In mortal combat
As endlessly the Bible wars horn
Disposed to Earth from the window of Paradise

Allienless daily ****** battle of true Belief
To conquer and to dominate
Seven Seas and Seven Mountains
Which out of Nature emerged to reality

Souls fight faith
But the surrounding beauty
As the wind from beneath this green planet does blow
Breeze of love
Into my mind
I feel weightless
That the breeze that does blow can travel me
To any soil of any faith to dwell in peace

Do I stand as a Warrior of any Power
In mortal combat?
Calling with pitchless voice to devour
From Four Divisions
To Origin
Where reality from a Star
Brought me to keep my first feet
Breath my first air and say first word.

If men can for a tick
Link minds
With the Necessary part of the Society
Men can share
Sweet aim of terror
To change with destruction
Horrorful black sultan of the Map
With sacrificial blue-blood
Aware of approaching emptiness and dry up

If men can strike so hard
Exploding anger of joy
On the necessary part of the society
Why can't men be still to live?
To allow Anthem decay
Since the Crown is deaf and Blind
And embraces living dead

If men can clamour; men can call
The Necessary part of the Society
Opening comic mouth wider than walls
Who wouldn't be entertained?;
By the Necessary voice of the society
As tiny as the last key on Keyboard
Who would hear them?
Yet, willing to berry _
Exposing colourless set of frustrated teeth

Chord chewing thirty-two.

WHEN SHALL WE MEET  AGAIN? _ Membis Godwin

When shall we meet again?

When the Sun would shine at night
The Moon in day light?
When Everest would decay
Into the Red Sea while well dry?

Or when to Heaven the Devil would relocate
God to Hell. When man would make

His Maker
Not out of dust but of hammer
When Fishes would live on land
In the depthless water would live a Leopard
When my Step-mother would in every season
Be ripe enough to reason
And America as senseless as a Lunatic-
Referred with having a Giant ****

Till then would I swim the flowing Stream of hope
Hoping to feel thy breath on my melting skin side.
Dedicated to my Heart Desire

HELP ME MOTHER AFRICA
Membis Okorie Mar 2016
With wide and big eyes
Bigger than biggest electric bulb
He flashes non stop no blink
With tiny hands and legs
Long and weightless like dry stick
He strechessitting on legsfolded
With head bigger than bill board
Too heavy to carry, but manages                            he to
Daring not turning it up nor east
Down nor west

My eyes can see his scan
Mineas if an x-ray
Count his ribs
I can
His heart sight I beating gently
His soul leaving behind himslowly
Before him
lying a plate empty
Naked and crying in cold under Sun
Heat and rain
From dawn to dusk
With consoul nor help_not

For centuries
His only words are
'Help me mother Africa
For remain I your child'.

DEAR CORRUPT COUNTRY
Membis Okorie Feb 2016
Dear corrupt country
Giant of all African countries
International debtors
Global investors
The nation I love so dear

The kid on street you allowed suffer
Hereby presents you a hate offer
Spire Biafra o! You zoo
Britain et tu
That should encourage freedom

The undiscovered Poet you wants dead
For trying restoring a freedom dead
Lives till now and also healthy
Though he is not a bite wealthy
His life he loves so dear

The stone you cared not for
Others seek for
That little boy you rejected
You he have ultimatly rejected
For of no good are you to him

Shame is mine being your child
I quite being your ward
If I am
And I shout it loud as an alarm
To the human right restrictioner

Stop my breath if you can
For history I know can
Never dream of forgetting me
Nor poems written by me
For one or two must stand

Dear corrupt country
I quite being your ward
If I am.
Criticize my work dont like or nor comment good.

OLD LOVELY DAYS
Membis Okorie Feb 2016
Old lovely days
I wish to have you
In my arms again
For you brightened my days

Old lovely days
Your memories are sweet
But sweeter in sight
For you are romantic at heart

Old lovely days
Come back to me
For I still do
And will always

Old lovely days
You left so soon
Without a bye
Nor assurance of return

Old lovely days
Nothing can make me happy
Than having you back in sight
For am dedicated to be yours

Old lovely days
My heart is breaking
You alone can heal my wound
For your absence caused the wound

Old lovely days
You would be the last
To leave my memory
Am I still in yours?

Old lovely days
You promised never to break my heart
Your absence is destroying it
Where have you been?
Old lovely days.
I miss our togetherness the sweet memories we shared and the smiles you print on my face.
To my lovely Heart desire.

SCIENCE WORLD DESTROYERS
Membis Okorie Feb 2016
Science the world destroyers
How better have our world become?
Building a new home by destroying the old
Take us back to the old
Your betterment remains destructions
Crude kills our land

Viruses you creat for breakdown
Nuclear weapons for clearance
We inheal death as air
Finding are of more ways to waste lives

Parents Ape, Children human. A  crash
Million heads crush
A single sink
Thousand souls sink

Anger has the sun, planet too hot for survival
Nature you **** for your made
When your dreams becomes so
We shall all live under the soil

Divinity you flops
'There is no God' you brush
***** and Gomorrah you freshen
Science!,stop destroying the world you love.
Uphold science no more for great evil have they done
Uphold the works of art for goodies they bring forth.

HOPELESS
Membis Okorie Feb 2016
I watch the ****** river flow
As spotlights glow
Far away the sun shines bright
But not to my path
Under the moon am not covered
Trees die in sight of me
The world has turned void
All me without anothers breath

From town to town
Year to year
I wander
In search of hope of life
Far lost and never can be found

My life lies in your hands alone
For never can I continue
To wander all my days away.
Give me hope to live on by following me.

I AM THE SUN
Membis Okorie Feb 2016
I am the sun
Once alone; almost free
Captured by the Tiger
Surrounded by the killer whale
Dying by trigger

I am the sun
The yellow bright sun
Over shadowed by darkness
Yet, rising and shining in darkness

I am the sun
Skeleton of the black wolf
Whose name currently I bare
And by her skin am engulf

I am the sun
The great enslave sun
Caged by a greedy giant
Whose arms are ready
Sharp and steady

I am the sun
The rebellious small sun
Under the sky
Fighting for freedom
To fly high the sky

I am the sun
Strong and mighty
Fearlessly
Shouting ceaselessly
For the freedom of my sons

I am the sun
In the bay of Atlantic ocean
Across river Niger
Centered by Imo river.
Nigeria free we Biafrans
And stop killing us.

Shy Girl
Membis Okorie Feb 2016
Heart fragile
Knowing not to love
As wish
Or not to

Mouth confuse
Knowing not to speak
As wish
Or not to

Hands tight
Knowing not to care
As wish
Or not to

Lips dry
Knowing not to kiss
As wish
Or not to

******* stiff
Knowing not to huge
As wish
Or not to

What will they say
Always will she ask
Retorically
As her face is
Covered in shyness

Afraid or not
Jeremiah alone can tell
For with others
Never is she so

Have the ugly
face
Grown worse
That before it you cant stand
Or so beautiful like his shadow
That it you cant clearly see
And ought to cover yours.
Despite all am still in love with the shy girl cause love doesnt count on faults.
Shy girl is one of the love poems I dedicate to My dearest Glory Kalu Ezinne.
