Beat me
Until I'm pretty to you
My ribs,a trap door to my mind
Woven weakness's, cage my hope
Bones of men fight the sunlight
I kissed the moon with cracked teeth
Comets weeping, undone
Snow drops,a psychedelic Violin
Swimming home in a cosmic orb
Swimming eyelids,  fracture my sleep
My home is on a beautiful planet.
Of blue and green.
Seen from space,
It is breathtaking.
Fragile.
Beautiful.
Endangered.
Threatened.
Very precious to the heart of God.
Who created it all.
With the breath of His mouth.
And the Word of His power.

Beautiful blue-green planet.
So dear to the heart of God.
With those He loves dwelling upon it.
Every creature deeply cherished.
By its Creator.

He who sits above the circle of our
blue-green planet,
holds it in His sovereign hands.
For it is He who holds
all dominion,
all authority,
all control.
Over
our
beautiful,
fragile,
Blue-Green Planet.
"It is He who sits above the circle of the earth, And its inhabitants are like grasshoppers, Who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, And spreads them out like a tent to dwell in. He brings the princes to nothing; He makes the judges of the earth useless." (Isaiah 40:22-23, Holy Bible)
God
not only cares,
He can do something

We ALL want to be loved & cared for!

I'm on Facebook most of the time these days. Look up Cathy Jarvis. My avatar is the same.
Lord Jesus.
Without You I crumble.
Under the weight.
Of fear.

With You.
I am a mountain
Unshakeable.

Dear God,
this is my prayer...
To be so grounded
in Your love for me.
That I will be.
Unshakeable.

Her
for the first time
in 1,460 days
since i have laid eyes on you
i feel okay

i am standing on my own two feet
without you

i look around to find you
in the crowd
not out of excitement
but out of fear
of your fist finding my neck
once again

its like the weight of the world
has been lifted off my back
the weight of your world
has been lifted out of my life

i am free
never to be consumed by you

ever again

Her
when you are a little girl
they tell you
how to act
how to talk
how to smile
to always be forgiving

but how do we forgive
the man who couldn't help
but force his own body onto us
without consent

how do we stay quiet
and not speak up
when his fist meets our throat
and the bruises look of a
red and purple painting
mashed together with pain on our skin

i want to be like a vibrant watercolor painting

the moment a poet
falls in love with you

is the moment
you live
