Be careful.
Don't burn your tongue on the first bite,
it makes everything else taste just alright.
Today,
A little happy peeked around the corner
And waved.
He was shaped like a question mark,
And kept changing colour
For he couldn't quite decide
If blue was appropriately ironic.

I haven't seen a happy for a while,
So I waved back,
And he turned red.
Either blushing, or angry,
A reluctant happy.
Nevertheless,
He made me smile.
Reposting my favourite.
When you are sad
Know that you can smile
Look around
Don't you hide

When you feel that the whole world
Is up to you
Know
That there is someone to hold out a hand,
To reach out a hand for you.

There is hope
There is a chance
Put down those rose colored glasses
and hang in a round.

There is joy
If you would seek
This pain shall go away
Just hold on a little bit.

Come on now cry
Don't be shy
We are humans
and should hurt sometimes.

Give it a try
Cheer for a while
Let the people know
You are worth the while.

Speak out your mind
Stand up high
Go on and shout
Let your voice come out.

All my life that's all I can remember
standing in front of a mirror
and pointing out my physical flaws.
Too big. Too small.
It didn't help that somebody was whispering in my ear
"you will never be good enough".
For two years.
Ever since then I have felt like I cant reach any ones
expectation.
But of course its not anyone else's problem.
Today out of all days I felt like I wasn't good enough.
Sometimes my true reality can become so
cliché.
Where's my knight ? Who told me I was beautiful and smart?
Oh that's right he never existed.
I'm the type of girl who fishes for compliments but
never gets them and if I do its out of pity.
I am so beyond angry
sad.
Tired emotionally drained.
That the old me I cant even see anymore.
I wish I was good enough to be me.
But I guess I am not.

We are both just stupid kids.
But I often forget this
and compare you to things
much greater.
My favourite thing
to compare you to
is a thunderstorm.
You seem dark and gloomy,
but you release light in times of
incredible darkness.
And I will never be
the kind of girl
who hates thunderstorms.

Your fallacy is that you care too much about the world. You have not seen the darkness in the world, therefore you trust it far too much. You are too naive to see how horrid the world is. But if you took off your goggles and saw how awful this world is, you would not and care for the world like you do.
You need to take your goggles off, for they hide the problems with the world. But you tell me I need to take my sunglasses off, for they make the world seem so much darker. You say the world has so much more to offer than what I am seeing. You see the world as such an amazing place and you don't understand how I cannot trust and care for the world like you do.
But maybe, maybe both of our views on the world are distorted. Maybe we're both seeing the world in a false light. Your positivity is actually very refreshing to me, and you say that my negativity makes sense to you. Maybe we could use each other's help to take off our sunglasses and goggles to see the world the way we're supposed to.

This whimsical mask alight in my arms
Such a light, cheery laugh
Surely I mean no harm

Just a little, slight push and it's up on my face
Now I tumble and flip
To the clouds I give chase

For I am the tumbler, the jester, the clown
I make people smile
I chase away their frowns

With a flip of my hat and a twist of my tongue
I make all the oldest
Of tales seem young

I am the gleeman, the poet, the bard
I see your future
In the face of my card

So come watch me now, as I put on a show
I'll make you laugh
As this happy crowd grows

you used to walk day and night with a great speed
everyday i used to see you walking all by yourself
i don't remember how i talked to you
but i am really glad i did
no other uncle can take your place at being my best friend
its always a pleasure to see you walk with a smile on your face
i know that you are not that well
and you go through a lot of health problems
but what catches my eyes the most is how strong you are and the way you tackle your illness
you never say you are feeling weak
you never say you are sad
all you say is i am doing well
and you keep smiling  and walking
now a days i can see that things have changed
i can see you walk more slow
i can't see my best friend like this anymore
i can't see my uncle sad
i hope there is something i can do to make you feel better
i hope you get well as soon as possible
because i cant bear the thought of my best friend,my uncle suffering any more
there is this uncle of mine and he has been my best friend for three years and he has throat cancer. at this very moment he has become really weak and i hate to think he might die. i cant bear  to loose him. he has lost so many things in life. his wife died a long time back. he has been living alone for a long time. he is one person who has taught me how to live life t the very end coz life is really short and we must enjoy while we can.
illness is something we all are cared of. the one thing we must do is become the worst nightmares of these illnesses. and we will eventually see that if we remain happy the illness has no other option than to leave our body and go to another weaker person. this is what my uncle said to me.
i love him a lot and i hope nothing happens to him.

I never understood
when people became heartbroken
after finding out their idols had flaws

If anything
it made them more real
more within our reach
reminding us that they are human
despite their darkest times
finding a way to accomplish what we can only imagine

we all have our own demons
it is you who decide
to turn your back
or invite them in

I laid on the bridge and looked up at the stars
Reached out my hand thinking I could touch mars
This is what poems are made of

A small glance at you with a grin in return
Stomach butterflies and a heart that can yearn
This is what poems are made of

On a swing with my friends under a never-ending sky
Jumping and wishing my body could fly
This is what poems are made of

Reading a book that makes me glad I can feel
Ink on a page can seem so much more real
This is what poems are made of

Riding in a car with the windows rolled down
A song on the radio, cruising through town
This is what poems are made of

A smile, a sob, a laugh and a grin
A story, a memory, two good deeds and one sin
This is what poems are made of

Yes,
This is what poems are made of
