Allegiance

Hot biscuit of cheesy pleasure
come hither
I shall greet you with parted lips,
lust apparent in every cell.
don't shy away-
for you are mine alone
to savor ,
this  achingly empty basket
soon awaits my
lonely countenance.
******************
Laine G and I   shared a common love  of   Red Lobster cheese  biscuits   ,  after a visit to the doctor  ,  my   friend was told her cholesterol was too high, and she would have to  cut way back  - I  wrote this for  her  :

Sworn Enemy

Cheese- riddled biscuit denial
discs from Hell
demand my unwavering allegiance
no more
for only in my dreams
are you innocent.
I wanted to tag these  poems" explicit" ! Love of  food  can be just  that ,  as well  as,  being told  you can't have it anymore...

Riding lawn mower
**** trimmers
sit idly in the repair shop
again
this Spring
while sweet sunshine
soaks in the leaky skies
crazy growing grass
tall enough
for our  Lily cat
to  reprise her
daily
king of the jungle
role
wearing
a dandelion crown.
I swear  the lawn equipment  needs  in the shop every time  the grass begins to grow again ! May 2014
One day, under layers of earth
Where forgotten men sleep
And the rest of history are kept
You'll be worth more than gems and gold
Your memories will make the roses bloom
And grow a field of dancing daffodils
Or be a home to lonely birds
On the warm arms of your sycamore tree

And so if it comes
That time has to deny your breath
Do not be afraid.
Remember my love,
Even if you're six feet under
In all ways and always,
You are significant.
Love is buoyant
It keeps afloat
Even in turbulence
The hearts don’t sink
We may cry oceans
But remember
Love is buoyant
Novice swimmers
Also keep afloat
Tragedy may strike
Upheavals of waves
May pull us down
Yet, we survive
Love is buoyant*

Only smoulder while she flames,
Her yellow sun dress.

betterdays
in writing poetry...
......you are writing
intimate love letters
to the world.

you bare your heart,
soul and .....***** laundry
....for all who care to read.

but there is anonymity
in your intimacy...
and there is ..
the dispensation of .... ....absolution, acquital, emancapation.....
leading to.....
....proclamation, jubilation
and .....discovery of a .... ....different self.

when you put...
words  to paper
.....as  a poet....
you allow the world
access, to your heart
....in times of joy and sorrow
and all the mileposts
..... lying inbetween.

you

I was that girl
a girl no one wanted
no one ever asked on a date
or was invited ever invited to the party

But I never minded
I kept to myself
never trying to fit in
because I knew I never would

I lived in my own little world
I didn't care what others thought
I was who I was and that was it
Until one day

Suddenly everything changed,
when he walked in.
