Danica
he liked to travel
around the world
pack up his things
leave without a word
through countries and seas
and blue skies above
see unfamiliar faces
and glimpses of love
over bridges, through canyons
i can sure guarantee
there isn’t a corner
he’d not wish to see
the storms be ******
along with heat and dust
there's not a known remedy
for his wanderlust
yet of all the crowded cities
and squares of empty space
being with me just isn’t
his favourite place
I found Aladdin’s lamp on the floor
I picked it up and some smoke came out
A genie started to appear between the smoke
And said:

‘I grant you three wishes, use them wisely;
Where do you start, with this powerful gift?
I grant you three wishes, choose carefully.
What can you fix, what can you change?’

I still couldn’t believe what I saw
I was creeped out and surprised,
Excited and satisfied
Everything seems to be so magical

I wish,
I wish

Can world peace be achieved simply?
A single thought fixing that’s all
Changing hearts, minds and history.
All in a single wish?

End hunger
Share wealth and resources;
Make crops grow, control nature, end greed?
All in a single wish?

Can we cure all ills?
End sickness and pain
Change lives; give hope?
All in a single wish?

Because without hope,
Without an urge for change,
A drive to better,
How can we make our wishes come true?

Mr Himel
When she left, I felt so hurt
It just hit me inside so deep
She hit the door on my face
For a promise that I couldn't keep

I couldn't say bye or anything else
She kicked me away so fast
I loved her once and for all
And it will be my last
I like to read your comments.

Zero Nine
The doctor asks me why I'm here
That's a little open ended, isn't it?
I wish I were as quick, but I think
Too long and explain my case in full
Without any embellishment, I came
Because my back hurts like a mother
Pushing, can't move my leg and now
Painfully both enter and exit bed He
Nods as if he knows, he wants to know
The extensive list of all my meds, three
One, that gets me to the cold side of balance
One, that redistributes fat, hips and *******
One, that bottlenecks testosterone tighter
Than either full ***. Gender reassignment?
He asks so I say yep. Duck Dynasty is on the
TV, in the corner above the room. The papers
Want to know if I'm claustrophobic, I check no.
That is before my first MRI. Before I'm loaded
Feet first. Now I know myself better, too.
The room is hot as he shares the results, bald
Headed sweat drips down a muscular man
Shy of forty, you've ruptured your disks. Three.
One on top of one on top of another. I guess
That in the end I just got too fat, that any extra
Burden collapsed my spine. I swear I do my best,
Avoid any extra psychological stress, but right
Now everyone is dying
