I met the man by chance on that riverside town.

The only one around at the deserted strand
I asked him the shortest way out
after I had my fill of the river.

He told me about the fish market
where the fresh catches arrive every morn
and the place ten minutes farther north
where if I slowed down
could catch the magnificent spectacle
of the orange orb thirstily dipping in the river
and if I stayed back for the night
would surely go insane
when the moon sets the river on silver fire
but if I was really intent on leaving
a half hour's drive would get me the highway.

I was thinking of the amazing mathematical probability
of my traveling over three hours to see the river
and his traveling ten minutes on a bicycle
to fetch his son from school on that riverside town
for our once-a-lifetime meeting on the life's highway
and then having him a permanent visitor in my memory
at sunsets and moonrises over the river.

Scratching for quite some time
on this blank white page,
my emotions flow
shine and glow
till the emptiness
imbibes my thoughts
like raindrops after a **drought.
I love fountain ink pens :)

Here at the end
of the continent
everyday the same
sea and sky elemental
endless blue planes
interrupted only
by a wayward bird
a flash of white
like a gull
lost out in the null
as September wanes
into Autumn's moon
breaking like a spell
casting my shadow
like a sundial
measuring my footprints
away and alone
on these wind(s)wept
bare lonely dunes.

the dawn comes late these days
slow from across the sea
the arc of the Sun skims over the brow of the hills
lower each time
soon we will have more dark than light
it will be a final turning into deep winter
and days will shorten even more
- the dawns will quickly fade to night.

I still don't
understand it

how you have created
such beautiful chaos
in my heart

you have turned
my world
upside down

you have made
stars into
song
the sun shines
it's poetry
upon my face;
even the moon
can't explain its
gravity

how can I
possibly make
any sense
of anything
when i feel
love like
that
things are not ideal, they never have been.

From here
You can only see
The brightest stars
Skies so dark
Between lights
Spread far

Way down here
Our existence stalls
Adrift this
Tiny little speck
Of a crowded
Conscious ball

Suspended in a portion
Of one of
One hundred billion galaxies

Down here it's not so clear
  What's going on up there...

obscurity can be a place of vibrant beauty
in the depths of solitude a fountain springing eternal
the silence full of vibrations.
