I stood from your bed.
My back towards you,
As you said,
"The most perfect silhouette."
You grabbed me,
"Don't leave yet."
I never wanted to leave,
But did anyway.
Something is not right.
I could not stay.

Dear lovely , take my coarse hands
Let me lead us to a wonderland .
Across this gorgeous green sea we
shall sail
To that place where love ' s sun
never goes pale
Where our hearts will never , again ,
ail .
The moon has aged thus grand
Here , sit with me on this sea
shore ' s sand
From whence we will watch hand
in hand
While we listen to our loving hearts
pound.
Lets count the night sky' s stars
And tell how lovely and beautiful
they are .
Lets watch the milky way fall to the
earth
And make silent wishes in our
hearts .
Ahh , beautiful lay here by my side
And lets listen to nature ' s lovely
lullaby
As we recount the great time

My words are nothing
Hollow, empty
Without something to lean back on
My words are broken
Cracking, shattered
When they are left alone
Dry and dusty
Spurts of constantants
Silence is a comfort
Dizzy and falling
Heavy blocks of vowels
A last, a final vow
I won't leave

I find you in the strangest of places
in empty streets beneath the trees
in crowded rooms full of music and strangers
and sometimes I even find your eyes catch mine or your voice say my name
I find you when you’re not there at all
in the lines of songs and the pages of books
in the caress of my pillow and the formation of my smile
But the strangest place I find you, strangest of all
is on my mind
constantly and irrevocably

Stuck inside a dark room
I'm dying for a breath of air
I'm not letting myself out

I want everyone to know my secrets
yet I can't open my mouth

when they look inside my eyes i want them to feel my pain
yet I avert my gaze to the ground

I want to stand up to all my demons
yet I don't have the strength to get out of this haze
Before leaving,
Pen a poem,
Script a story,
Produce a pyramid,
Manage a milestone,
Fix a fence,
Pose for a picture,
Build a boat.
I'll remember you,
Not to worry.
You'd remember me too.
But images of walls
Brain splattered,
***** on your face,
Cinched belt, alone, or
With needle
Will certainly work too,
But for the wrong reasons.
That's why King Hamlet
Had to return and ask:
“Remember me.”
He was looking for
Understanding,
And we know how that
Ended.

Started with the tenth,
Ended with the twenty-fifth.
I am little red
And I’m looking at your pearly teeth.

How did I get so lost in the woods?
How did I get so lost in you?
You already ate half my heart
(Like the bread in my basket)You split it into two.

And I’m bleeding,
Dripping trails of blood,
I wasn't supposed to be here
I wasn't sure how I got.

My mother warned me
About the strangers in the woods:
Keep your eyes on the bread crumbs
Tighten your red, red hood.

The warlock healed me with his magic hands,
The huntsman vowed to avenge me,
The baker fed me with comfort,
The knight struck his shining sword valiantly.

Grandma said, ‘Forget the amber eyes, the deep voice, the untrue.’
‘Your true options stand before you.’
Yet why in the world (in the galaxy, in the stars)
Do I still choose you (who broke my heart)?
Today, poetry is in my bones--
words reverberating against flesh,
holding up my body
through ribcage and skull.
I am a skeleton of sonnets.
If you were to cut me open,
verse would flow out:
I stain pages with ink-splot blood.
