Pitiful October sunbeam
Warm nutmeg concoctions
Visible morning tide breath , cherry cheekbones ,
gas lamps , golden leaves o'er cobblestone
Silvered gardens , blue eyes hold pine grove
reflections , knitted scarves , Fair- day candy apple
obsessions
Magenta Dusk , harvest time orb , funnel cake
wisp in the fleeting , western Sun
Barkers , musicians , cider and ale
The windy pull of nights clutter , the Autumn wail

Cold beer fills a chilled mug
The crackle of tobacco , the creak
of a rocker , the croon of crickets ,
Alabamas distant thunder* ...

Deer run in brown grass , water bugs strike
the porch light , cars hum along the distant highway ,
cicadas foretell the shroud of night
...

Clocks become amplified , ceiling fans -
tickle door chimes
Drab curtains brush plastered walls , dry
corn fields trill , crackle and moan

The final slurp of Michelob as -
someones trash crawls down a forgotten country road
...

My Lord
I am grateful my Lord for all the kindness extended
Only you can save me and help me from difficulties
Forgive me if in my innocence I just ever pretended
You are Master of the heavens, earth be kind please
Being most Compassionate you created me as man
You alone taught me the art of straight expression
Most blessed is the name of my Lord in all the pain
The Master of Glory and Splendor saves in depression
He is the Master of Bounty and Honor with all blessings
So which of your Lord's blessings you can just deny
Its He who travels in all autumns and blooms in springs
He remains in me helps me to tread on land on sky

I think it's fair to say
that at 6am
I am not impressed
with the start of
today.

Dark and windy
cold and wet
it's a good time to set
the alarm for late

a man came to me and said
Revolution was the most painful thing that ever happened to him

I didn't see it
We hardly noticed the tides changing

With our unwavering conviction we believed
with passionately believed
nobody warned us
We blindly went all in

But that's just it
We believed the half baked truth we were given
we believed the compassionate lies we were told
we utterly feel in love with the "truth"

We could see change and hope
we could finally see the dreams of our
sons and daughters
mothers and fathers
coming to light
we could taste victory and the sweet fragrance of freedom coming our way.

But we couldn't see the destruction and annihilation that it came with
the pain and suffering awaiting us
The void and ache that would envelope us
That the price was going to be catastrophic and dreadful

I was the light house gauging the trouble
crashing on the green seas beneath my
window. Rough seas, vocal waves of
perpetual ship wrecks..

I would gaze upon the shoreline
of my view, looking for any trouble
that could wash ashore. Momentary
riptides of hormonal adolescence gained.

What could take a life, a single moment of
not watching the shore. So I shone my
gaze upon another's abandoned hopes,
leading them from the rocks of anguish..

That day I was the lighthouse of reality,
when below waves were gathering.
I was a light in moments of disarray,
But on that day no one washed ashore.
When I was younger in youth, there were bad apples, I don't think they meant to be, but on one day one apple had something that could end a life with just a pull of a finger.. so I warned the other.. I think I saved a mistake that day as he never took the challenge and the other was never so stupid to bring that out again...
