In a world of the blind
He wondered why his one eye
could not see some hope
She shed a tear
But no one knows why
Whether for joy, sorrow or fear
One wonders what makes her cry

To no one does she tell
The reason her eyes swell
I'm guessing fumes from an onion
Or tears have become her *****!

 Aug 2014 Days of Dawn
Liam
stellar direction in undulating terrain
punctuated by meteoric columns of infinite light
imparting a clutching embrace to the face of now

lunar reflections form a fluid nocturnal path
to an osculated gateway of fertile encompassment
culminating in breathless pillows of untabled silence

stars without fault grace the expressive heavens
while muted words gaze out through rooftop eyes
cascading over living stone in waterfalls of emotional geodes
I am still in motion,
The cogs nestled deep within my lungs still turn.
Despite the lack of air,
I find my breathing,
Remains steady like before,
Steady like the motor cars,
Steady - though my tank is near empty.

I keep driving,
Waiting to crash into you,
So are hearts may fuse together,
And our lips,
May finally meet.

I keep driving,
Searching for a sign,
Following the lamplight,
And cats eyes.
My fingers clenched,
With naive anticipation.

I keep driving,
Trying to take control,
from the backseat,

"Are we there yet?"

I scream, like a child, immature.

But there is no response,
I've been given the silent treatment,
For we've already reached,
our dead end.
 Aug 2014 Days of Dawn
Sjr1000
We've become a
civilization of diseases
we build
monuments
statues
institutions
thinking death won't ever find
us here.

Our minds are scrambled
our bodies are damaged
our food is poisoned
our skies are toxic
our vices
are forces of processes
beyond our
control.

When we are not humbled
by nature's power
we inflict our wounds
upon ourselves in
the names of greed
and self protection
and no one knows
what it really means.

Fearful of the silence
we fill our skies with
endless noise
babbling on in endless
monotones, droning
while traffic stalls
at a hot stand still
idling engines
idling souls
depletion of every last glimpse
of the past.
Jam packed
in the stench
I am lost today
in
this vitriol
as anxiety, death and desperation
from every corner
screams my name.

That's why I came
to these woods
where the illusion of
peace remains
as
wild fires burn
just down the lane
as you know
as you say
its always been this way
when bodies hung
at every cross-roads
hunger, power, ignorance
and strength
all ran
the show.

I'm sick with
every disease I
know.

I float upon these tranquil
blue waters
and
we are reminded of the peace we all
really can know.

a natural work of art
   unnaturally rearranged
delicate sensibilities
   under patterns of shadow

self-portrait of inertia
   depicting withdrawal
pursuit of recognition
   motionless in futility

muted colors of being
   imbalance in the spectrum
intrinsic inquisition
   casting quality of light

fruits of perseverance
   nourishment for survival
openness and acceptance
   creating spatial composition

flowers in heart's vase
   healing from suffering
light from obscurity
   still life with darkness

hello, my friends. i would love to thank you all for enjoying my writing. A special thank you to Liam, because he always has lovely comments to post. you're all such talented people, and i am honored to read such lovely pieces of writing. i love how we all just come together on a big writing community and blatantly express our emotions within the art we know as writing. yes, i said writing is art. writing is a type of art in which there is no paint, no oil pastel, nothing. the art is in the beholder. keep writing, because we are the hope of the next generation of authors.

m.g.
also, thank you to everyone who comments on my posts.
