                    happening ? :)

I have a friend who told me she finds
poetry boring now.

I told her-
It has always been boring.
It will always be boring.

Even DisneyWorld is boring on the 3rd day in a row.

She now finds poetry-

Mostly mundane.
Radically routine.
Definitely drab.
Really repetitive.
Totally tedious.

Much like Mark.

I told her-
It has always been boring.
It will always be boring.

Boring.
Poetry boring deep inside your head
Boring deep inside your conscious
Boring deep into your soul

Without leaving a hole
Leaving you whole.

Boring.

Are we meant to be,
I ask myself,
Is this truly what I need?
I can't decide,
I'm just not sure,
Should I even proceed.

But then last night,
I had a dream,
And it told to me the truth.
We cannot work,
At least not right now,
Not in this subtle youth.

So it saddens me,
That this is the end,
At least for now you see.
Maybe I'm right,
Maybe I'm wrong,
Either way, it's better to be free.

She smiles as if she has her whole
Entire being in the cookie jar.

I laugh from my spine, as the wheels
In her pretty, dark-humoured head

Visibly turn within some sweet, twisted
Process. She speaks with the wit of a

Secret agent; the vocabulary of sailors
And intent of someone like Skeletor.

Her mouth is an instrument from which
Poetry as the opposite of itself sounds;

From where come words that make me
Either thrilled to talk back, or blush. The

Less you care together, the happier you'll be.

She smiles like that. I'm loving this lesson.

I gather up my purses, I don't want to be late, It's the dating adventure.
My friend set me up on blind date, i think she was blind, she said he looked like Fabio, to me he resembled ET. I'm not one that is shallow or mean but he didn't not have a good personally like I was lead to believe. I feel like i was deceived, he was not interesting to talk at all.
I thought I would give it another try with a different guy, maybe I would have better luck
I am generous and willing to stick out my neck for a friend, but the guy constantly had me pick up the check with the excuse he forgot his wallet in his other pants or he would reimburse me once he got paid etc. I wish I would not have paid for his lobster with dessert on the side. Dating is an unpredictable ride.
One time I went out with a guy and my sister asked me how my date went I replied what date it was like babysitting. In the search for my honey, I was the one that kept getting stung, bad dates are no fun. I know dating does not come with any guarantee or money back policy. I wish it would for me. I have learned from this not so great dating adventure. I am waiting for a true gentleman it will be worth the wait.
Enjoy Ladies, I think you might be able to relate. Maybe you guys can relate too.

What but love is
if you have to explain
Hidden not in words
but in good deeds

For Joe Cole's Magic Challenge**

Magic Words

He practiced his magic out there in the yard
on the crest of this fine summer’s eves
A trick he had found waiting there in his heart,
he knew he just had to believe
~
For there was a girl who smiled oh so pretty
on a front porch right there, up the street
And all he could hope was that magic would help him,
if only a chance just to meet
~
He set up his props, a box made of cardboard
and showed it was empty inside
Then took a scarf, tinted blue like the heavens
and still he had nothing to hide
~
He looked her direction and grinned when he notice
that she was now looking at him
He put on his hat and rolled up his sleeves,
the time it was right to begin
~
With a wave of his hand, he made her appear
from the box with a scarf colored blue
Just three magic words, she needed to hear
when he whispered to her, I love you

My attic's full
Of Thank You's
That can't keep out
The cold,
But rafters
Hang with laughter
To warm me
When I'm old.

My basement's full
Of Pleases,
Poor fuel for the furnace,
But air vents
Carry welcomes
To keep us cool
Or warm us.

The shed is shelved
With If's and Buts
And jars of
Maybe bolts;
The fasteners
Of family ties,
The glue
Of hearts and souls.

Search the garage,
Open cupboards,
Lift the sideboard lid;
Step into closests,
Check under stairs,
You'll find them everywhere.
We use them freely,
Need them dearly,
Those small words
Sound so good.

My take's a bit different
about loving a poet.
I say do it, get one and hang on.
They'll teach you everything
from living real
to getting ******.
And it won't be a status quo ride either,
one where you hide inside,
thinking about dreams,
you'll be the center
of their entire universe.
And even if it's only for awhile,
what difference does it make.
Going out in style
is better than being fake.
Start a real fire...burn with a poet.

I take my stand
Between the great
And the unfortunate

To mediate the wealth
My many talents
Are forced to get

To alleviate pressure
With generous efforts
And become who I am

Not anything lesser

the guy who is in control
of the buckets of rain
has just dropped
an inch on our terrain

he didn't see fit
to consult with us guys
as to whether we'd like
the weather wet or dry

his inconsiderate weather
shall ****** our Saturday
we'll have to stay inside
out of the muddy clay

it was our most fervent desire
for Saturday to be sunlit
so we could get outside
to enjoy a few tennis hits

we've had enough drops
of rain falling here
and we'll be a jolly lot
when the dashed stuff clears
