One must be invariably brilliant to tag a bathroom stall
   the throne room of sages

And so it was
   that middle school ***** were shrouded in ******* wisdom

And in college
   some Platonic rebel, a self proclaimed tyrant
enlightened the blind
versed solely in idealism- Freshmen

Post hoc
an underground caffeine ****** relabeled toilet paper college diplomas
accepting the cheapest education afforded me
irony quizzically probed~
               will you ever join the ranks of legend?
                                  somewhere...
                                                        ...some faded wall awaits your signature

And so
   in some near distant future
   I did respond
   to porcelain tiles
   idley surrounding a porcelain judge
               for a ****** time
               call 864-5387 (toilets)
               available for complaints 24/7

I don't think the judge caught my humor
probably too disposed with degrees
College quote- in the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king

Wednesday
I’m trying to tell you something
but there are no suitable words to explain how I feel

like I need you on top of me

and I need you in the ocean next to me

I need you holding my hand
and listening to me sing along to the radio

I need you drinking tea with me
and playing cards
and crunching leaves under our feet in fall

I need you on a blanket

and at the mall I need you by my side

I need you to snowboard down the ***** of my back

I need you to spank me over your lap
I need to get drunk with you

I need to smoke cigarettes with you

I need to taste wine on your lips
and drink ***** out of your collarbones

I need you like a quick striking match

I’ve spent all my wishes on you

I need to sleep next to you every night of my life
and watch you brush your teeth in the morning
and straighten the collar of your shirt

I need to open the door and find you there

I need to read thick books with you

I need to see you eating cereal for dinner
I need my head on your chest

I need to watch you shower
and shampoo your black hair

I need to love you
I need to LOVE you
I love you

They say home is where the heart is
Well, I don't care where I am

I need to call you home

"Stay?"
A pleaded entreaty with tears
Soaking the edges of it's echo
Carries from your mouth to my ears
My mind races with leg entwined visions
The sloppy wet heat of our tongues
Swirling
Whispered apologies for years of neglect and bad choices
All could be mine
Yet...
That may be all *this
is
Chemical desire in a centrifuge
Until well blended with come **** me
DNA strands
You say you'll be there
Then when most needed
"Where's Waldo?", on the search
You know, even without disease
Our telomeres will eventually decide
When we are finished
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Your fingerprints are all over my heart
Love, it's my mind
You've been reaching for all of this time
To only brush it with your fingertips
And on the third day he rose
eyes red from creation
a sativa-induced resurrection
And though many searched for him
he was not there
he was already philosophy and smoke
Now, centuries later
millions roll themselves in his dogma
with hopes of getting high
Jesus Christ!! Tomorrow is both 4/20 AND Easter...just playing with the idea
I don't care how
Angry she makes you.
Be gentle and kind to all
Women. Their
Hearts are closer to God's
Than our fists will ever be.
An empty mind
Upon an empty stomach
Upon a frame of which it's proportions
Are damning in a world where standards outweigh the core of the being inside
More will be added to this.
When at roadside stands
I see a little mag of poetry
can't help mutter two words
lapis lazuli
Must have brought it a poet like him
lover of letters dealer of dreams
drunk in the elixir of emotion
added a drop more to the spilling ocean!
In the vastness grew in one nook
bearded youth with poetic look
his words tattered on the canvas a rag
bringing this world one little mag!
There wasn't a reader an eye to see
the poet's journal sold for free
he carried them bagful if could find
ears willing a discerning mind!
Then they shrunk the hopes high soared
wings broken the bard was floored
in the desert sands lay dried poetry
dying unprized lapis lazuli!
No question asked nor rose a frown
a wasted poet was the known verdict
he put his pen forever down
till breathed his last a drug addict!
he intended poems to decorate his life
little mag - little magazine
lapis lazuli - a decorative metamorphic rock
We shall speak, and by speaking loudly and fervently enough, we shall be heard.
We shall be heard, and by being heard, we will be dismissed as the lost denizens of a failing society.
We shall be dismissed, and by being dismissed, we shall not disappear quietly into the night as our forerunners have done.
We shall be branded "Communists" & "Traitors", and in doing so we shall aquire the attentions of those we aim to educate.
We shall not be silenced, and by refusing to be marginalized into a portion of "freaks and outcasts", we shall be known.
We shall not be paid off or coerced into "negotiations", and by maintaining unity, we shall be outlawed.
We shall not accept the scorn of those whose power seems unassailable,
and in so doing, we shall be feared.
We shall not accept platitudes and half measures as answers to our grievances, and in so doing, we will be persecuted.
We shall not accept a world where our worth as human beings is measured by GDP, and in doing so, we will become that which we seek.
We shall not accept that "Some people are better than others", rather,
we KNOW that liberty is born from knowledge.
We shall speak, and by speaking, be heard, and by being heard, we will effect change, and by effecting change, we will be victorious.
To those who go unheard, I write this for you. And ask that you speak on what you hold dearest, lest we all suffer the fate of those who have been silenced.
It's not the rain
that makes my eyes wet.
It hasn't rained in forty days.
Nights are long and quiet.
The silence cuts to bone.
It wasn't rain that quenched the fire.
It hasn't rained in forty nights.
The well is dry... so am I.
Nights I sit in silence
while it rains.
These scars that bind my heart
still bleed at the mention of your name.
You love that, don't you?
He really does. The struggle continues.....
Woman. Man's mystery.
Soft as feather falling through mist,
In need of something that isn't.
I keep forgetting
That I'm rarely the reason for
Whether you rain or shine.
I am the rock you hide under
While the deluge pounds.
I am the rock you rest upon when
Soaking up the sun.
I am the rock you recognize
As last milestone before home.
Deep inside the eye of your storm
You blame me as little
For anything
As you'd blame any other rock
For something.
I'm just there.
Whatever hits you
Hits me.
Nothing wrong with being lost or wanting to be held.
Just relax and take a break for time heals so slip into sleep.
We are scared of death the "UNKNOWN". We
do not fear the ocean or space  but they are still really unknown.
We do not fear sleep and it holds no guarantee to wake.
So let me die by the ocean and under the stars. let my three strangers
embrace me until my eye's open.
