Watching the snow fall
Tonight I'm happy and jolly
A through the snowy night and
Santa Claus flying his sleigh
He's on his way and it's nearly
Christmas day
Hang the bulbs
Light it up
Sing a Christmas song
So we all can sing along
Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas and
May this Christmas
It'll be magical and fun
Because our happiness
And joy has just begun.

Today’s slow cooked ragu
has a lot of familiar ingredients
but spun a little different

The devil in the pork grease
gave me such a wink
I lost my place in the recipe

Liberal with salt, chili flakes,
zest and anything,
this quixotic cook’s hand
throws much freer than weekdays

I only lack the fat slack
of pappardelle for this,
as they were out at the supermarket

Penne will have to do

Even here
in the midst of our decay
I still have words
left to say

Turn right into paris
The day you walked in
Stood on my door
You were nineteen
I was twenty four.
A look at your face
Weakened my knees
In your sweet fairness
I experienced bliss.
Throbbed hard my heart
My body felt so light
That spelt the start
Of my love at first sight!
The day you walked in
There wasn't anymore
Happiness for nineteen
Peace for twenty four.

Flowers
are my real friends
I know their language
They're
never
crestfallen
Our friendship
is a blessing

Tepid water
between
my toes,
I know
life.

My tears are rooted
in my mother
and
my father
no apologies
needed
