Eyeing the situation
But the heart contemplates otherwise
Only living in denial

A quaint little bazaar
In the heart of the town
Tells a story
Of a thousand moments
Dal Bazaar as they call it
Or "Curry Market" for others who don't know.
I have fragments of memorable memories
Deep within my mind
The smell
The intoxicating smell of spices
Blended with the quiescent yet cacophonous lives
Of Merchants and Beggars
Of Buyers and Sellers
Of Bullions and a single calloused rupia
In the hands of the old *****.
The sunlight baking
Bags of turmeric.
Suspending the scent
In the minds of men.

Capering clouds of black and grey
And the sudden squall
Stirring the monotony
Of the customary.
The pirouette of rain
The one that excites the plainest of the plain
Painting the whitewash with shades of grey
The chalky walls
Dust
Moist corriander
And the relief of earth
Conciliating
So rewarding
For the ruins of the bare sun.

This flashback into my soul
Where all my senses seem to be so awake.
The feel of the wooden veranda
Scent so inexpressible
My eyes devouring the sunset
Tasting the heavens
Hearing it all.
Feeling it all.
Oh the plight of poets
The ritual to end a poem.
Painful.

Writing poems bout you
I hang them in my room
The wind clinking the sound of words

Living in a glass house
I invite the sun every dawn to dusk
To dispel shadows of the dark words
Meaningfully they glaze on hopeful strings

But I let the water be the door
Where my  translucent  emotions flow
There the words roar and tranquil

**Last but not least on firm ground I stand
Where in my hands' clay the words mindlessly play
Moulding them in canvases to string them once again
Blending the elements to create a room where I want to write poetry !!

Life can be amazing, if we know the how's to bring it forth.
One must however mention that some thrive in the tension, some shine in the light, some glow proud in night, some slide through contention, and some search for ascension...so
First, find out what ticks your tock, then fantasize what makes you rock, and don't be timid in your dreams, think big, and believe, in all that you may conceive.
The stronger the web that you weave, the easier the Universe will retrieve, your hopes and desires will manifest right before your very eyes. I swear it works if you decide to follow through in whatever life you choose for you.

Give it a try...or don't
Remember, you decide.
Just flowing positive poetry

Severe winter’s freezing
Ground covered with heavy snow
Preserving seeds for Spring
Not everything I can make into a poem
like the sky just after rain
her embroidered smile its minutest hem
in her shade of cornea a grain of pain!

Not everything I can make into a poem
like wind eddies from wings of bird
her amorous veil that stokes my flame
in her lips’ quiver the unuttered word!

Not everything I can make into a poem
like the heron’s swoosh on the moon of marsh
her endless aroma without a name
in her eyes the million stars!

Not everything I can make into a poem
like when perches the bird on nest
her flushed cheeks in love game
in her kiss the sea salt’s taste!

First love,
silky tenderness you bowed to, pure as a dove
First poem,
magically words aligned to your pen's motion
First hard earned penny,
like you earned a billion dollars unlike any
First friend,
person to know your mad secrets in the end
First diary,
your naive self writing away with merry
First date,
been awake entire night only to be late
First kiss** ,
never knew how but flowed with the bliss
First success,
happiness you bottled that came in excess
First marriage ,
adrenaline rush held in the veins with courage
First mistake ,
life's lesson to which you didn't awake
First heartbreak ,
memories and tears coiled you like the snake
First pain ,
the need to be strong for any gain
First you,
lost innocence learning lessons to live a new
Many more things I'm sure you want to recollect .... Just few things I list

Get closer to yourself
Craving for your attention and care
The heart beats for you first
As you become aware of the world
Welcoming you to the celestial space
Carrying your beautiful soul
With all the pristine feelings intact
Ready to face the world and start living
In this chapter, don’t forget yourself
Pull yourself closer to your inner self
If ever the sun shines like gold
air smells of unknown happiness
tightly them in a bottle hold
secure in your safest place.

When hits you the roughest wave
a patch of shore you badly need
bring them out from where you saved
take off the lid for a spoonful feed.

If ever shines a passing light
forget not to store it well
in times of living through darkest night
take off the lid in it revel.

When hits you life's toughest phase
in the raging storm can't find your way
delve within to reach that place
where the bottled sun you stored away.

We are always competing
Albeit we forget with whom
Become better than yourself
Comparison is futile exercise
Exhausting the minds ability
To be at peace with oneself
Knowing oneself is true philosophy

Sun hid his smile away
on a cloudy day
o'er Carolina

Moon she cried
thought he had died
for a love he left behind
across the line from Carolina

At night he dwells
in her emotion
an ocean of the bluest tears
that ever fell on Carolina
on a cloudy day
when the sun forgot to shine.

The morn casts a shadow on my mind
this twilight day of dark clouds
I mourn everything lying dead behind.

Seems nothing was done right
what was for me missed my sight
built blindly castles of sand
dreamed harvest on fallow land.

When it came to paying a price
chose way out with compromise
not asking the purpose was made this soul
the intended task of its earthly role.

As I lament all the wasted years
clouds disperse the sky clears
whispers a voice from my inhaled breath
being alive is enough rest is myth.

The sun is setting
in the distance
It looks like a faraway land
beautifully exotic

I stare and wonder
feeling myself
being lifted,
gently
outside my bubble

I'm constrained to the small place
that I reside within
too often

I could almost cry
for myself
as I have given my mind
that much needed freedom

My soul is shining
glowing
like the setting sun

Written after walking my dogs on a very beautiful evening
