I had a dream on
The tip of my tongue
That tasted very sweet
I took it off, like a CD
And put it on repeat...

It was like an old-time movie
Framed in black-and-white
A white-chocolate
Licorice drop
It played on
through the night

Then, all of a sudden
The cast of the show changed
Bogie & Bacall became
Something very strange!

They weren't exactly zombies
But they had changed!
Oh, no!
The dream was now
quite bitter
It was a horror show!

Yes! The leading lady
Was a POD PERSON! Man!
As she began her
Tell-tale scream
I took off... I RAN!

Next time you have
A pleasant dream
Remember that
they turn
Sometimes you can
Consume a thought
Which just gives you
heartburn!

Next time you taste
A sweet dream drop
And put it on repeat
Be sure you take
a grip-o-TUMS

'N BE CAREFUL
WHAT YOU EAT!

She rose from the waters

Of couse she was wet

Her hair mingled in moss

rigor mortis ? not yet !

I stood for cautious

My heart cried out in fear

FOOL ! don't go any closer

This is certainly most weird

She left watery footsteps

As she ascended the hill

To the abandon cemetery

Where all rested so still

There on a knoll

She spread out a cover

Sat down and awaited her lover

A screech by a cat

A hoot of the owl

And in the air

A stench so evil and foul

She rose to her feet

As he appeared in the gloom

They embraced

By the light of the moon

His eyes were live coals

His breath sulphur hot

His clothes were impeccable

His skin dried and taut

Together they sat

But there was nary a word

When he bent over and kissed her

There was a sizzling heard

He stripped her bare

of her watery rags

And they made unholy love

It sure made me gag

The clouds in the sky

How quickly they flew

The moon was so embarrassed

That he turned blackest of blue

I slip the straps and release the clasp
of your over-the-shoulder boulder holder.
Gravity asserts itself, and you sigh as
I wonder if I should get even bolder

because

The jaws of love masquerade
as petals of a flower

so

Just say if you want me to stop.
We are, after all, in the middle of a shop.
I was attracted when I saw you smile.
As we passed in the frozen food aisle.
Now people are staring though the window.
Shocked at my nonchalant innuendo.
And if your purse metaphor extends to this.
We can go to the Bank for a little kiss

though

I may not be able to afford
nine feather mattresses and a golden pea.
But if you could make do
with a lilo and a marble
then …
You've pulled Princess.

A soul has
many parts
Some parts
Don't give
A ****
But the
love part
Wants it
To be you

Everyone needs a primary school poem or two to keep one honest!  Likely will not make it onto a Hallmark card!
