her frown darkens the still night
and thickens the billowy clouds
till at last the skies glisten bright
with the tears of the mercurial gods
that live in our suffering memories
fall rain fall, then flow water flow
when you go i shall gaze as you sink
in a mock run of my sinking one day
When the day is done
the sunburned moon
breaks down on the lonely river.

Glistening in her tears
the river carries her away to the sea.

sometimes i sink
to depths of despair
that leave me gasping
for air in claustrophobic spaces
then i hear a voice calling me
to rejoin the chorus of life
sometimes i think it's the end
and that i'm finally spiked and dried
no more clinging flesh or sightless eyeballs
just a mounful song swishing through my skeleton
then i hear a voice urging me on
telling me to rise up and soar
       into the blue heavens
       where anachronistic melodies play
on rusty harmonicas trapped in gravity
then sometimes i think i'm dreaming
when life bubbles and is exuberant
in my heart that's full of melodious chants

The moon...
it is so beautiful.
"Don't let the moon fool ya! It's nothing but trouble. It leaves all day, and doesn't come back till the dark hours approach. Moon ain't meant to be trusted."
I see the moon in my sleep.
I see the moon when I'm awake.
"The moon hates ya! It'll never love ya."
Have you ever seen the moon?
Have you ever touched the moon?
"I say curse that wicked moon."
Sometimes I think the moon hugs me.
It knows I'm scared.
The moon can be anything you want it to be.

snow on the leaves
and
leaves on the snow
frost on the moon
o'er
a red and green glow
the evening is silent
whilst
I trim up the tree
a warm fuzzy fire
and
Vince Guaraldi
hot cocoa in hand
I
look out through the glass
and softly reflect
on
Christmastimes past

this is my happiness tonight

I make smiles from shattered eyes

cry December's distracting frost

move my soul with hopeful sighs

and pray our devotion is not lost

It is the eve of renewal's glee

gave sad promises to spoon the moon

but in the haste of glass we freeze

pose with strangers who fill our room

sweat bemoans my reaching hand

your eyes are vacant with his lust

he bids the hours by your command

we smoke our feelings into dust

this boy is weak yet worships you

opens darkest gates to breed

now enter light that stirs, confused

my screaming tears unheard,unseen...

i am a wish of hearts refused,

the sound of fallen poetry...

Just for tonight
I want the moon
The smooth silvery light
A wash of gray
I feel on my skin
So beautiful
I am beautiful in that light
Perfect in darkness
Lit by the heavens

Early in the evening
She teases.
Hiding in the shadows,
Winking playfully.
As she slowly
Sheds
Her inhibitions
And stands before me
In all her wondrous glory.
Brazen and proud.
Doubts
Tossed  aside on the wind.
Clever little luna.
You don't have to
Play games
With me.
I'm at your mercy.

Homemade wine, cherry pie, the earth below my feet, my wife with me to meet .
A bottled glass to sleep, in her arm's I'll keep.
Round and round we go
Dancing throughout the night's air.
Sensual satisfaction, to touch the moon we dare
