Tupelo
golden sliver, Fistfuls of skin
Such a scenic sight
Clenched sheets like prayers,
Hailed gospel to the ceiling
All was holy in the twilight,
I spoke aloud my wantings
You replied with your own,
I've fallen for eden,
Knowing the consequences
Lord have mercy
On our sinning souls
Every inch of you is a garden to me
and be wise
     brave to see
pause, in the *******
      her in the kitchen
doing dishes
         recall how she feeds
your children
         washes clothes
and smiles
and glows

be aware of all the time
     passion if love
is to be sublime
       extends to daily
chores

and take her by the hand
        out side the bedroom
and thank her
i'm gone to the store for some bread she said
with her suitcase in her hand

The sunrise blushes
in sunflower
chardonnay braids
on soft merlot clouds
as if it has heard
my whispers of love
sent to you upon
sweet pea breezes
this perfect
*vintage morning
Good morning Beautiful
I love you as much as the ocean loves the shore.
I always come back, never expecting more.
Driven by the moon, an everlasting routine.
Thirsting for some form of serene.
I'm only saying this because it's a force of nature.
And I like to believe that you aren't that kind that would denature
I'll believe anything to convince myself that I would never purposely do this.
Something among this oceanic abyss.
We could be eternal
if fate didn't rest in our
crumbling lungs. The stars in your
eyes will eventually turn to
dust, but know that right
now the imprints of
constellations on your skin
are the brightest object
in the night.

Every story ends and even
heroes die.

But know there's something divine
in the heart-palpitating chaos of
everlasting
stillness.

May
wild beauty
in these decaying
words
be what I leave behind.
just trying to find something pretty to say.
