A Poem by Corset

..."and if he's got a tomb
you should go in"
"But you can't knock..."
"on the door;
the door's wide open"

A singing budget cut.
B Movie,
cheap thrills

"I'm going to FXXK
with her"...
"you are going to die"...

..."why do you say things like that"
"you know I heard you just now"
..."Oh sorry"

"beautful"...

...Contentment.
(smirk)...

Mid-way house...

(she turns over and flips her hair
away from her neck.)

..."you said no..."

..."I was afraid"...

..."only half way there"...

..."there are circumstances"

"to over come"...

..."like this knife"
You will not see my shadow pass
the gate of mournings eerie dark
Nor hear my voice among the reeds
that grow above my silenced heart
No fondest kiss to furrowed brow
to quell the torment of your making
for you have left me here alone
to sleep the sleep that knows no waking.
The last line was pilfered from a Victorian grave stone. It was too beautiful to leave there.

poetic river ~
 Oct 2016 Chris
Pax

flowing words that ripples through,
painted pain in the waters
waiting to be
understood.

life is a river
we pass through many
paths and rock hurdles
along the way
some may block us
with a dam
but over time
life's rain
overflows our
waters as we
jump through
big walls
like a waterfall
we fall
and continue our
journey towards
the ocean....

In a palapa in Yalapa
Drinking mezcal moonshine
with a local named Rudolpho
He waves his hands in circles and squares
in candle shadows

Eyes turn inward to see

becoming a mind in the present
childlike wonder
big moon rising
pulling internal tides
stretching roots
grounded in the earth

Rudolpho knows how to laugh in colors
He knows how to dance Zorba style
arms held high to the diamonds in the sky

Nothing was achieved but everything was fixed

Zooming towards a universal experience
among the universal mind

Don't know where the night went

Rudolpho knows the ritual of the sun
Told me what I needed to know
singing
"Hurray another day"
while a parrot calls my name
and a scorpion slips into my shoe.

A palapa has no walls
I didn't either
all I was
was windows

Drinking mezcal moonshine
with a local named Rudolpho
he knows all about goodbyes.

Seems we've wandered from this path
Weaving to the right and to the left
Do you too wonder what's up with that
Knee deep in the mire and muck

Can't see the forest for the trees
Hatred in the falling leaves
Blowing ever now in the breeze
Let's start by putting our faith in love

It keeps us here and holds us tight
Hanging on for dear life
Look around what else can you find
In which to put your trust

The great divide is not too deep
The hill to climb is not too steep
With open hearts we all will see
By putting our faith in love

Have we all but forgotten
In Denmark something's rotten
With years spent at the bottom
Searching for the top

Marching to a different beat
Is a great need on city streets
Change the temp from rising heat
By putting our faith in love
