Ash
Every time I have wallowed in my tears,
Every time I have drowned in my grief,
Every time I have loved and lost,
I remind myself—
It has been worse, and I have made it this far
I have made it this far
So that I can see through to better days

Okay
Let us take a moment
And break this down
If you don't believe
In global warming
By now
You're probably not
Going to come round

But perhaps
We could take a step back
To when pollution was indeed
A matter of fact
Such as
The black factory smoke
And runoff waste
That fills our water ways
Coal soot that fills our lungs and skies
Sewage that fills our bays

Poisonous smog
Settling over our industrial cities
Toxic chemicals giving birth
Have you no empathy nor pity
"As our"
Emissions are ever choking
Scorching the earth

Can we start over
Sure it's no big deal
Can we at least agree
That pollution is real?

Tears you shed
For the lack of gifts
Wishing for one and some-more
Stuck in the greed of forever more

Life it is
You have been tricked
It bestows upon you
The choicest of all
And watches from afar

The gifts you owned
And the greed for more
Bringing in a abundance
Of evermore

Sky high
The inventory you see
What do you do
How do you stack
The cloud is full

Stuck in the forevermore
Be free and learn to shape shift
There is wisdom in those gifts
May you gain and secure

No wings
Attached to strings
In the sky
Blue or colourless
The colourful kite
Learns to fly

August
He gave me dead flowers
So I can smell them every day
The rotten petals falling
The color of decay

The washed out sunflower
The dehydrated leaves
The mold on the water
The color of debris

The richly red rose
Now drooping to the floor
The color of love
Existed no more

But still I saved the flowers
And smelled them every day
And watered them with tears
To let them grow again.
I love him
I tell myself
I know that
We will be together forever
I don’t believe that
We could be separated
My thoughts tell me that
He’s the love of my life
Sometimes my heart lies and says
I could live an eternity
Without him
Like my friends say
“We’re perfect for each other”
And you can’t tell me
He’s not the one.

Now read from bottom to top.

Em
Am I the villain in this story?
Am I the one to blame?
For months your words ate at me,
If I’m the bad guy, give me a name.

If that's what it takes,
For you to sleep safe and sound,
Call me what you want,
But it takes two to participate.
as a kid
there's nothing
like wasting away inside a tiny
room
sitting on the backrest
of the couch
looking out the window
and seeing her
tread through the rain

a red umbrella covers
her.

Mother

she's going back
to the liquor store
A life every poem lives
Short or long
maybe a song
A tale to tell, a story to relive

Touches many hearts, maybe not
Each a piece of art, of someone’s heart

Some live long, a forever song
Some in oblivion
Lost in the ether
A poem that was written
Inspired by the current scenario on Hp :)
Lost and found
Maybe this will be read, maybe not
