It was a day like no other
The day of you and me
Think of hurt that played a part
Of so many nights before
Do you think running away will do any good?

Do what you like
Marbles can be found
Have you ever looked
At a picture
And after looking at it for a while
It moves
Looking in the darkness
One slip you are over the edge
Are you back there?

Hovering
When I was a kid I would dream
In sequence
Dreams conform to the notes
Then for a long time I didn’t dream at all
Then one night I fell asleep and I was in an amusement park
It was so real and there he was
Lurking and luring
Me to come
Laughing at my newness
Then there were his eyes
Deep cat blinders
The dream is out of control
I was running
Looking
Waiting
For the hurt
The pounding of the unloved
You were different , I thought I knew
I thought I was your only.....

If Only
The badge is a symbol of
Honour
Sacrifice
Respect
Do not let the few
That tarnish this code
Earning your disrespect
For there are those that believe
In the code, to protect the
Weak,
Vulnerable,
Laws,
To uphold, for them to do there best,
You may see them as an enemy,
But the few who taint
Do not stand for the rest,
They made an oath to
Protect
&
Serve
Give them your trust,
And they will give it right back..
if i could make a wish cancer would be gone
gone forever more for each and everyone
no more people dying way before there time
cutting life so short when only in there prime.

no more pain to bare no more agony
each and everyone would be cancer free
this would be my wish for each and everyone
no more pain or suffering cancer would be gone.
Oh eyes will you see the beauty in front of me
Oh ears will you hear the laughter of family and friends
Oh tongue will you taste all sorts of delicacies
Oh mind will you perceive all I need to learn
Oh feet will you walk as if in another's shoes
Oh from one another we learn so much in life
I am going in for eye surgery today and was thinking and this poem came out. I am having Cataract surgery.
Will you please pass the memories of the time that we spent
Chasing down each others dreams
Too many years of not sure where they went
Nor when they decided to leave

From out the frosted window I watched you wave
As I boarded this high speed train
I don't have to tell you how much has changed
Since you and I were seventeen

The park that we favored is now a parking lot
Progress took what we had and gave it away
Better to have what we had than to have had it not
Though since those days life hasn't been the same

This you'll never read for the fact that we lost our place
In the line that we used to be
Like I said before so much has changed
Since you and I were seventeen

Young love, young innocence, playing to the notion
That it all makes sense on any given day
We took it back then on teenage emotion
Now all that's left is the ache of separate ways

With the swirling of memories I'm in too deep
Nothing more to say on this still high speeding train
Except once more to note that nothings the same
Since you and I were seventeen...
They guided her,
They were friends since she made their acquaintance,
She didn't know all of them,
But the ones she did, she knew them well,
And guarded them fiercely,
For in the times they lived in,
They were abused, brutally abused,
Stripped off their meaning, bastardized
And she couldn't stand it
To her, they represented so much more than a space filling sound,
And using them inappropriately, would just not do
They were her comrades,
Her support system,
They answered questions,
- She couldn't ask,
They questioned ideas,
- She thought unquestionable,
They fooled her some times,
But never by their intention,
She played with them,
Weaved one of a kind garments out of them,
And gifted them to the ones she really loved, like a specially knit sweater,
They kept her warm,
They kept her content,
They kept her hungry,
~ Words
Only words,
Are all that she had...
To do so much more,
Than take your heart away
Some times we say as an expression, "words failed me", but more often than not, we're the ones failing words. Use them wisely.
