299 792 458 m / s,
The speed of light
Continues
To move this
Ship From the
Top
To
The
Bottom
Of a Galaxy.

They say it is possible
To travel
It in
100,000 years;
However, it would take
Trillions of years
To complete the task
To get there,
Through the
Central Plane-
Come on,
Then let us go.

What would it look like...
From the inside,
Traveling
To the other side,
Surpassing
Space and Time…?

Chills run up
Your spine.

To go any further
Would be impossible.

This trip is
Completely
Off the grid
And
Out of reach,
Unless
Scientists
Reach a breakthrough,
So
Evolutionary.

Will we ever see it?
Most likely, never.

Darkness has the same
Speed as light,
And this leads me to
Think that
They are fighting
All the time.

Glowing:
In
The
Dim
Abyss.

Breaking a barrier-
Only to be
Meshed together.
Close your eyes

Your world, not extending
beyond the soft quilt under
your skin, unending

Soft ripples of cloth, and picturesque seams
Nothing here but
You, me, the sky, and soft dreams

I'll reach up and take the stars from the sky
If only to lay them at your feet
to place them in your hands
to bring light into those glazed eyes
or give a glow to a world so bland

and each one would be folded
into a beautiful origami castle
I, the lord, and you, the vassal
Or perhaps me as the king
and you as a queen, whichever
My gentle playmate.. which one is better?

I'm a majestic creature of the sky
You're an empty-faced child on a quilt
Each star shall be used as a stepping stone
so I might meet you in the place I built

Let us meet, as lovers, or
at least equals
on this starry floor
And your body falls into each soft fold
It's here, right here, that I can hold
you close, keep you safe and warm
so you, from the rest of the world
I'll withhold

Consider this a "romantic poem".. but not about me! Actually, this is a story I've sort of written. :)

Hmm, let me try to describe it. A little girl living in a world all her own, a world that's nothing more than an empty quilt with an endless sky. Above her, lives a sort of "sky-creature" and he happens to be in love with her, so he builds her a castle of stars.
17 years since 911
Safety has never returned
To the free world
School shootings now rule
Our headlines...
Saudi Arabia still
Our closes allies...
Police still shooting
Our unarmed black men...
The industrial military complex
Bigger than ever
President still doing
The bidding of the 1%
$$$$$
Innocent people died
We were blind sighted
We came together
Only to become
Completely undone!

A sky
Scattered
With Constellations,
That's where
I found
Gemini.

Do you really believe
There is
Truth to this?

Pointing up
Above, to
Find
Love.

Falling to
The ground
Soft with
Green
And
Little flowers,
You place one
In your own
Hair and
Laugh.

Me next?
No thanks.

You want to
Kiss here
With
All these
People around?

Lost and found,
We wait
Until we
Are above ground
On a Ferris Wheel
As it spins
Then stops
With time.

My Gemini.

Happy Game,
Of hide-and-seek.

Tall statues
Surrounded
By grass...
Will you
Come and find
Me?

Where are you hiding?

I'm here.
Where are you?

I enjoyed our
Morning
Exchanges,
As we
Tried to
Find each other.

You asked,
Did I see you?

Yes, but not
Until you found
Me.

Shooting
Down
To disappear,
Passing through
Space and time.
Momentum moving
Them,
Perseids fly.

Darkened night,
Sparkling clear
Through blackness,
Near.

Like our lives,
So fragile,
They too,
Disappear.

Cold rush-
Wind gust,
He limps
Along
With an old
Wooden cane,
On a Bridge
By the Bay-
Talking in a low
Voice,
Singing
A song,
Of true
Folklore.

"It all washes
Up on the shore."

Tales
Of Fights
And Trouble,
Followed by
His love
Of long ago
When
Mermaids
Still
Came ashore.

Skin hangs
On him,
Aged and scarred,
But once
He was young
And spry.

He sings,
"I remember
The day the
Mermaids died."
