' I found my first grey ***** hair " my husband said today
His voice was soft and full of dread - I had to look away.
We sat in silence very still - you could have heard a penny
I didn't know quite what to say so said " I don't have any "
" Today at noon I went for lunch " he quietly replied
" The hair was in my bagel "
I laughed until I cried.

The Doctors were wrong,
They gave her a year,
Four months.....
She is gone.....
As the holidays near,
But the chemo was hard,
She was no longer able,
How dreadful the empty spot at the table

I should have got a pumpkin,
But…I don’t know how to carve,
I could have put on the porch,
I don’t have yard,
The porch did not work,
The children did not hark,
The little monsters were too afraid to beg out in the dark,
So, I ate a couple Snicker’s
I watched some DIY
That carving looks easy,
I might give it a try!
Sure,
There’s always next year!
I’m bound to be more handy
Yeah, I got lots of reasons,
I ate all the candy!

I am sick of it!

Only a joke!
You don’t think I'm “funny”,
It happens!
Can’t you forgive me honey?
After all, it’s been awhile,
Since I’ve entertained,
Or saw you smile,
Be careful,
Some things…you can’t take back,
How I’d love to hear you laugh

Why do you complain?
If  God can feed the organisms  under the soil and deep in the ocean,
You have HIS spirit in your soul,
You will get what is meant for you.

I don’t know where it went
  I just know it’s gone
    I don’t know how it happened
      I just know I did it
        I don’t know what it even was
          I just know I miss it
            I don’t know where to go to find it
              I just know I have to try

Lonely in love,
I feel sick,
Alone (again)
In this relationship
From the couch I see you,
Still on the computer,
I crave company,
And worry of the future,
Again!  
I am lonely,
Have we nothing in common?
I wonder now,
How soon you have forgotten,
The long conversations,
Time on the phone,
Those late night visitations,
Before you called this home,
You used to say, “hi honey”,
Now you snap, “what IS it?”
Remember me?
It’s “honey”
And I still like to visit…….
