The judge threw the book at him,
And awarded his wife with
Everything but the kitchen sink.
That way he could still
Drown his sorrows.

It must have been the dictionary...

Star light,
Star bright.
The first star I see tonight.
I wish I may,
I wish I might.
Have the wish I wish tonight.
Just the common thing I was taught as a kid
Bella-Lee Nov 2019
You brought me to life,
While I was losing my breath.
You made me feel whole,
When I was greeted by death.
When it's my lips you kiss,
We both hold our breath.
Not just kissing me,
But kissing with death.
Bella-Lee Nov 2019
I can feel my heart,
beating.
But sometimes I wish it was beating,
A little faster.
And other times I wish,
There was no beat at all.
Bella-Lee Nov 2019
I love you
I want you
Don't leave me
I'll never leave
Are you here
Are you okay
I am fine
I am done
Promises mean nothing
I hate you
I do too
Bella-Lee Nov 2019
Tell me we are okay,
when we're falling apart.
Don't ask if I'm okay,
If it's clear I have a broken heart.

Amidst the flowers they all lay,
Amongst a sky loomed in grey.
Soil seeps and weeps the liquid,
Seamed in bodies and tears vivid.
Meadows are violent graveyards now,
Misting the death defying vow.
War causes misery and terror,
Wallowing of sorrow for the horror.
Yet we live in what's called peace,
Yet we live in a world on least.
Do we live in death,
Does death define life's worth?
