"I wish you well."

I like 10 word poems because it forces you to summarize your thoughts  to the point where you're really only saying what you mean.
Maybe I should try using that same theory in my own life, haha.

Steady lads
You're the farmer
You're the scythe
Sharp like a knife
They're the wheat
Stalks in the wind
Steady boys
They come again
Time to reap.

Gettysburg, The Wheat-field battle, July 2, 1863; one of the bloodiest battles of the war between the states.

What's the
point of having
a life when
your every thought
is for
someone else?
It sickens me to see kids spend every second of every day devoting everything they have just to support an ******* or someone who just isn't worth it.

Do I dare to dream; To aspire to those lofty
heights from which I could fatally plummet?

Ah, but the air is crisp and the sky is
blue upon that misty summit

And it calls to my desire to have the world
beneath my feet

But if I am again to dream I first must rest and sleep

you're like a tiny planet,
so foreign to my touch.
you showed me worlds
that i didn't think existed.
we stood side by side,
and ached to reach out.
you were the astronaut,
and my body was space.
you explored deep within,
curious of the vacant body.
and i let you travel my veins
all the way to my shuffled brain.
i loved you from the apogee of your head,
to the undersides of your toes.
i swear i was born to meet you,
as i plucked you from the garden.
out of a thousand beautiful roses,
i picked the wilted daisy from the bunch.
because even with your imperfections,
to me, you were the most flawless.
and i'm glad to be your water that helps you grow.

you don't even know
you're in hell

I haven't known her for a really long time,
But I can already tell:
She likes the subtle things.
The things that people don't usually acknowledge.
The smile, the laugh,
The kisses and the hugs.
I can just tell...

She has bright blonde hair that matches her personality.
She wears clothes that reflect her soul; relaxed.
And she has a laugh that is powered by her heart; it's amazing.

You see,
I can write about how the sunset is so beautiful with all of the colors mixing together like a fresh oil painting.
But I'd rather talk about her.
Because honestly, she takes my breath away.
I don't have to say much, I just have to look into her eyes,
And I know that things will be okay.
They just have to be...

Again, I haven't known her for a really long time.
But I can tell she likes the subtle things.
