bodies are galaxies;
and within ours
constellations
go all rogue in seconds,
talking to each other
without
permission and consent;
without our knowledge;
there is a plot
behind our backs,
a conspiracy
of unexplored possibilities;
and like plastic dolls
at the hands of gods
we are drawn so close,
a clash ensues
of comfort zones
with the aid of gravity;
we'll regain control,
of course,
just before impact
they seek
a permanent seat
one that will allow them
to stay on the taxpayer's treat
on government and opposition benches
they do enjoy sitting
yet they care not
for the pockets they're hitting
few do much while in parliament
but they do keep
accruing monies
as if it were
a lifetime entitlement
the vocation
of being a politician
is similar to
an adding up mathematician
on the day they do retire
the paying out by treasury
doesn't expire
off the public purse
they'll not be weaned
for it is
an unending river
of cream

on poetry*

A poem is only a mouthful of air
until it is read.
Imagine it. Craft it carefully
from your heart's flesh.
Seal it in a bottle
of clear, pure words.
Set it adrift on
the ocean of time,
life's restless surge,
until a few congruous spirits
pluck it from the sea-wrack
and recognize a message
that illuminates their souls.
Readers find writers;
never the opposite.
The eyes
are the windows
of the heart,
and the soul,
through them
we see who people
really and truly are.

A shortcut,
and a gateway,
to the garden
in which we dwell -
otherwise
near impossible to reach;
for the distance
is a lifelong journey
to a destination extremely far.

They're known
To share
Comfortable
Silent conversations,

A Pure love -
Reciprocation
Without expectations.

An understanding,
With words unspoken -
Resonance felt
Through each other's eyes,

Their thoughts
Are in melodic unison -
Internal are their significant,
Soulful, muted cries.

Two hearts
That beat together,

Two minds
Beholding one vision -
Come whatever.

One prayer
Silently prayed together,

One soul
That was split in two
Upon creation;
Inseparable from day one,
And so, they shall remain
Until forever.

Harmoniously,
Their hearts beat
In rhythm,
As one;
They are two of one kind,

  By God,
Their souls
Were meshed together -
Born to be
Infinitely Intertwined.

Dedicated to my soulmate - my husband
Do not overthink
Your ink -
Let it flow, you know!

Mine falls out -
It is what it is, good or bad.
Without darkness
We cannot see light -
Gifted,
For good measure.

Season's greetings
To you I send,

I pray for love and peace
For every precious friend.

May this season of hope
Bring happiness in an abundance,

May you feel joy in every moment -
May they be most wondrous.

May we pause for a few seconds
And give thanks for each new blessed day,

May we pray for the needy -
Ask that some assistance may come their way.

May the sick, and the lonely,
Find peace of mind,

May the underprivileged,
And the homeless,
Sleep easier each night - may life become kind.

May we be grateful for more
Than the gifts beneath the Christmas tree,

May we pray for a New Year
That brings peace throughout the Earth,
For all of humanity.

Season's greetings
To you I send,

I pray with all of my heart
That peace on Earth
Is right around the bend.
