They took away my sunshine,
Far away where I couldn't reach.
Without an endless sky to fall on,
the light slowly started burning low...

The next I know,
he was wrapped in white cloth,
and lowered deep into the earth,
But this time, it was his choice...

Austere, everywhere!
only me for
that I care

In my dream, two apples
fall from a tree,
Roll down the hill
next to me

There I lay
in foetal bliss,
behold she comes to me

We grip the day like a child grips
a parent’s hand,

trusting the pull forward,

but night comes, dark and wet,

a mouth of fears opening wide—

we fight inside it, each breath a battle,

and by morning, we are raw,

but whole, stitched together by the sharp

thread of surviving ourselves.

I try not to believe in things.
Instead, I observed things with no preconceived judgement.

I believe my truck could still be in the garage where I parked it.

I believe there’s a ghost of a chance that anyone can avoid betrayal.

I believe in the end it doesn’t even matter.

I believe when ignorance ends knowledge begins.

The cool plush ****
of succulent grass
whispering against
bare ankles.

The verdant smell
of rain pelting
the crusty earth,
loamy fresh.

The piercing tingle
of noon sunshine
on the bald orb
of the shoulder.

The comforting touch
the warm embrace
that soothes
the aching heart.

The energizing aroma
of coffee burbling
brews hope
and inspiration.

My filter, clear and bright
illuminates the night
in waves of bliss

Anchored by the senses
I remember
what brings me
happiness
