Naked and fierce,
Burning with anger,
Stands the Goddess,
Great is her hunger.

Machete in her hands,
Slashing at her will,
She knows no bounds,
And runs around to ****.

She can't recognise,
Sinner or saint,
In her mission to **** the evils,
She has lost her restraint.

And then she steps on something,
What is it? She looks below,
To her horror she finds her Lord,
Supine, lying beneath her toe.

Great is her shame at what she sees,
In her great fury she had spared none,
It needed Lord Shiva to stop her rage,
She bites her tongue at what she has done.

And thus we know the great Maa Kali,
Ashamed, repentant for being blindly furious
She stands for the two sides in ourselves,
With the good trying to rule the evil in us.

So every year we worship her,
Each year we pay her our homages,
And this is how "Kali Puja",
Goes on and on for ages.
Today Is " Kali Pujaa " aka " Shyama Puja "
This Exactly Coincides With 'CHOTI DIWAALI'
I know it’s not healthy
The way I act even now
But you’re not much better
Breathing that smoke in and out.
We both got bad habits
Saying we miss each other
But not doing a **** thing about it.

Vanilla and patchouli serenade my mind
My eyes close tight at the dream now
Floating in my head.
Wine dances on my tongue in
Streams of pure delight
As the laughter of your kiss lingers
On my parched lips

My head thrown back I sink deep down
Into arms that once held me tight
In a memory

The crackle of the open fire
Speaks of passion
And I remember how we laid bare
Our inhibitions
Ah memories on this cold fine night
Until the morrow when
A memory can become whole

when you reappear in the sky, my soul is regrown
shoot an arrow straight to my heart, many nights
spent under the stars in this moonlit purple dome
steam runs off our skin, while the heat waves rise
running together in this exhilarating light, over the stones
that cut our feet. I don't miss home. (Who would have known?)
We do not stand alone.

Pandora I saw ya
Open that box
You let the dark out to play
Now the world has gone away

Pandora Pandora why did you do it
Curiosity killed mankind
And now you have to pay

The price is high I cannot lie
All the fun of the fair they say
So cry you will
Upon the hill of bleakness and despair
A lonely leaf blowing in the wind
tossed to and fro by the seasons change
you eventually land
become faded over time
but you never felt jaded
by the changes you faced

You grew from a tiny bud
shined upon by the suns love
you drank deeply
from heaven's rain
You remained free
from any human pain

When your time was up
You went out in a
Blaze of glory
in wonderful colors
for others to enjoy

someday when my time
on
earth is up
I can only
hope
to
go out
so
beautifully

This stupid letter remains in my pocket everyday, as if I'm going to give it to you.
Sigh

I always point you out, don't I? I have a story to tell
about two star-crossed brothers. One was born
mortal, the other a god- they found their home
in each other. The mortal one died, went to hell-
and the god cried out in agony, and, Olympus watching, fell.

You were the first thing I learned. When I see you
I am reminded that some things I will always know
that the sky spins around and when I doubt anything is true
there you are- standing and waiting alone.
I believe in love. Don't you? I have seen in the stars
that some things will stay forever and some truths
will remain past all our broken pieces and silly scars
that some things don't need proof for us to believe them.
I believe in love, in the giving tree that always bends
down her limbs for the boy, trusting him
with not only her heart, but her leaves and branches
until the last page, the very end. She gives all she can.
I know this. I know it's true. I believe in love. Don't you?
