as I lay awake
robbed by the
ghost
of you
again

I submit to
haunted daydreams
longing
river flowing
wet dreams
fairytale
facade ever
endings

& terrified
of each
corner of
the
universe
we used
to
dance.

Soak this throat in poison
wait for haunted gasping breath.
Fear triggers the notion
that I might survive this death.
Heavy sunken depressed chest,
windpipes start to burst.
Chorus plays from chords in test,
shrills have been rehearsed.
Skin held up as hostage
to the blooming of false wounds.
Blood betrayed and caustic,
crimson black hypnotic hues.
Eyes roll like dice inside
a floppy falling head.
Final breaths discreetly hide
regretful words of dread.
Open to the world in blue,
lips no longer tremble.
Scars explain the tried and true
existence now dissembled.
Know this flesh contained no hope,
this chest held no new light.
Better death and I elope,
so we can cease this fight.

Erase your name from my fingertips, never again quench these thirsty lips.
Fright said right an ending was left.
Head against pillowcase she wept of mourning.

M e l l o
the pages of my notebook
are bleeding with broken poetry
feelings hiding within
tears falling while writing
painful memories seeping through
vulnerable thoughts can be found too
it's like a vast ocean of nostalagia
a dungeon full of unsung verses
a prisoner of a caged mind

Why do we naturally close our eyes
When we kiss
It’s as if it’s a reflex built in our genetic code
Eliminate one sense
Sight
And all of the others must heighten
Touch
Taste
Smell
Hearing
In order to compensate for the loss of one
So when we kiss
We want to taste the other
We want to feel the other
We want to hear the other
More deeply
More closely
So
Close your eyes
My dear
