Oh please stop swearing,
here is the coin,
put it under the tongue.
It should calm you down.

You were so quiet all your life,
and suddenly this.

I know,
it must be hard -
missing the world,
the wound is still fresh.

But what about others?
Will you not let them to get some sleep
before the dawn?
Only when writing
do you become ageless
Communing with eternity
— transcending time

(Dreamsleep: February, 2024)
The fruit salad
the black jack
the sherbet saucer
the mojo
in the sweet box
we'd all go
on pocket money day.

it was four for a penny
and four was so many
when I was a boy.
I woke up again
which is
good news for me.

Monday has an uncanny way
of making me think that if I blink
it'll be Tuesday,
but it never works

I try to make the best of it
the worst of it is done when
realising it's raining and today
there'll be no sun.

On my windowsill,
of that indigo night
you took me,
and I haven't
been the same since.

Something about you
makes me want to
be a better man.
I've grown wings,
so I take to the sky.

Beneath these
satin sheets,
my memory
flutters like
little birds on
indigo nights.

Folded wings
rest in my
mind's eye.
Fingers itch with
visions,
Delta of Venus,
orchids in bloom,
wet with the
sticky dew.

I grip my
virility
and begin
a slow
waltz...
It feels so
good.

swoop down on the small insects
