An angel entered my life

My heart wept today,
the knot in my stomach burst
and broke the bank of saltwater
welling up in my eyes.

the words silenced for so long

and broke out of my mouth.

Your heart hurt today,
your tears streamed out
at the painful sound of
of my words you just couldn't understand.

I isolate myself
to protect myself.
On the days the darkness comes
I need to hide away.
It doesn't mean that I don't love you.
It doesn't mean I don't want to be with you.
I just need time
To relight my soul.

My happiest days
are embedded on my soul.
In my final moments
I shall play them back,
like a film running through my mind
counting my blessings
for the stars of each scene.
