If you go to a room
With an idle clock
Close the door
And engage the lock

There you live
For 20 years
And that clock
Moves not it’s gears

Will you age?
Will you wither?
I know its nuts
But I’m not sure either

wait for me please,
wait till my strength is back & my heart is dark,
wait till i make them pay
for treating you like an object
for toying with your feeling
as if you were a game or something to be tamed
wait for me till i can face you again
tell you i have hurt each one of them
and made their generations pay for it
and made it sink into their bones and hearts
that you are the euphoria of my very existence
that you are not to be dominated for laughs
wait till i can make their voices quiver
till they beg to worship the floors you walk on
and finally mend your heart of all the pain
tender to all lies and blames you've been forced to endure
just wait for me till you love again

Head down

Earbuds on

Volume full

Attention drawn

Veered right

Hit a tree

Distracted by

Technology

Head lifeless

Earbuds not on

Now only silence

Life was gone
That's me
All hundred kilos of flesh,
An open heart for all colours,
Only can't stand attitudes,
Wear my emotions on my sleeve,
Compassion my tool,
Life is tough, I am tougher.
To persevere is my motto,
Clothed in strength and dignity ,
A woman of depth and substance.
‪I lost my love ‬
‪She’s perished; gone‬
‪My soul is broken ‬
‪Yet lingers on‬
‪Why must I be the one‬
‪To continue down this path ‬
‪Alone, with a broken heart‬
‪Amidst the aftermath ‬

‪I lost my love‬
‪She’s perished; gone‬
‪God give me strength‬
‪To carry-on‬
Keep me safe
Keep me strong
‪And help me cope‬
‪Before the break of dawn‬

I found a way to temporarily quell my raging thoughts
I have made my own little world that I have full control of
I daydream of things that bring me happiness
It is my Utopia, it is where I can find euphoria
It is a falsehood I tell myself

An escape from reality
A breath of fresh air, the daylight in my darkest night
A safe haven I made for myself
A detachment from my problems
A fantasy where I am fine
Might contain some grammatical errors, English is not my first language. I'm open for corrections and constructive criticism, It will help me improve

This is the 2nd poem I’ve come upon written in 1999, so woefully up to date I feel I must send it out.  Called Gone In A Minute.

                    Gone In A Minute

An avalanche, a mud slide ,
Every meter drenched and plastered,
Gliding and colliding, guided
By terrain alone,
And crash, boom, clang,
The whole shebang is gone.

People!  Yes, of course!
Their words and art;
The future’s start.
Centuries of minds,
Mines of thinking gone:
In a non-thinking wink.

How long then, family name?
The worked for fame?
Volcanic ash, a lava stream,
Centuries of verse, and worse,
Memory all creamed away.

Fire, flood, the drowned, the charred:
Things no longer anything;
The best and worst on equal footing.

Wars: the scarred, disfigured, marred
And all the future Bachs, Picassos,
Jenny Linds, Carusos,
Shakespeares, Einsteins,
(not to mention Arlene Corwins)
Never to expand a wing,
Create a thing,

The crux is, what we bring to mind
How easy and complete,
How fast defeat
Comes to a globe
Once calamity’s in orbit.
And we wonder what is worth it, what is not,
Ask what lasts when pasts wiped out
Leave nothing.

I am ampersand
et you are you
My mantra is continuous
To support us through

There is no juncture
No delay, no puncture
No sign of stopping
No sign of dropping

The pressure is high
We can still touch the sky
We can meet the demand
We are ampersand
I like ampersand so why not create a short poem out of it. Ampersand comes from Latin. It's the merger of e and t (et) meaning 'and'.
