i read today
that
sometimes
during
autopsies
they find ink
pooled
in the lymph
glands
of people
with
multiple
tattoos
and
i got
to
wondering
if they
opened
up
my
brain
would
it
be full
of the
ink
that
runs
through
my
veins
the ink
that
drips
and
seeps
into
my very
soul
aided
by
the word
i
inscribe
and
etch
upon
my
bones
the ink
that flows
in a
long
continious
scrawl
eminating
from
my
poets
pen ..
I would love to discover you from all angles,
as I am sure there are many pathways
to a heart
as beautiful as yours.
i want to dye
my hair and tattoo my skin
so that the changes
you’ve been noticing in me
look like they’re
on purpose.

For the people who read this
It's not just a game
we've all got emotions
and we've all gone insane.

I looked back to what I was
To realize who I am again
With regards to Thomas Sayers Ellis*

Look at the
    Lucent lava lamps,
Dark craters
    Hiring hands.
We walked,
    Mimicking magma.
Hot, why is
    This heat?
Forget Vulcan
    And his illusion
Of kaleidoscopes,
    A rip tide
On the shore
    Of our conscious minds.
We held fire,
    Pretending to swim
Underground,
    But only out
Of pure respect.
    Some had boots
Made with
    The clippings
Of funky tripwire,
    Others wore suits
With goggles
    Clamped to their faces,
Gripping like
    Bay Area earthquakes.
One-by-one,
    Jang-strangs were
Attached to us and
    Hurled into the Pit
With rhythmic rituals,
    Waves of S and P
Flailed away
    Like flags.
One nation
    Under a new.
No one looked away
    From the fiery daze.
No one wept.

I'm lost in the land of whiskey and lies
trying to refamiliarize my hands with your skin
its been months
maybe years
since we've touched
each shot makes it that much harder
to remember
the freckle on your wrist
the creases in your palms
I can't seem to recall
and I was never a fan of alcohol
but forgetting for a night was never as bad
as remembering the next morning
waking to an empty bed and aching heart
breaking bones and throwing stones
didn't even come close
to the relentless pain
washing me away
with the january rain
that made a home inside your veins
and in a way
this makes me miss you more
