i can see light beyond the clouds
the waves have ceased their swells
and so I can now see and breathe all the same.
I was recently diagnosed with Bipolar II, after being misdiagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder for fifteen years. I'm on new medication, and now I can feel again.
Your lovers still linger on your breath,
biting at your tongue.

Before you speak
your words
Spill from your lips and drip down your chin.
Your Sentences tangle with saliva
like loose threads at your feet
And you leave them
To slither down the indentations in the floor
Cracks in the wood symmetrical to the lines you drew on their bodies
With your careful fingertips,
Their hearts gathering like dead skin under your nails.
To see someone hurt
and be unable to aid
as their heart is in pieces
from such a fresh break
you see as the pain
escapes from their eyes
as sadness envelopes
and takes over their lives
but pain that is felt
will lessen with time
and your heart will repair
as life's grand design
you'll find love again
and that love will be true
because they will love you for you.
For my new friend. I know you're in pain and you may think that it will last a lifetime but the pain will pass. It's ok to feel how you do and it's ok to let yourself feel this way. Happiness will come your way and this will all pass. Feel better soon.
Cruel fell from the sky
on the same day,
Adam got released
it was mid-June the same
day as the dark side of the moon.
I can’t condone madness and mayhem
But sometimes, I’d like to
Sometimes, I wake in the morning with an itch under my skin
The gun trigger in my mouth, safety off
And I know, it’s not right
But god, it feels so easy with the barrel all loaded
That’s when realization sets in and I can almost see the future like a fortune:
The dread scratches at the back of my scalp
(My conscience whimpers and begs my brain to listen)
The anger eats at my amygdala
The sharp sensation of adrenaline is burning its way up my central nervous system
And the apathy...
(My illness grins)
Someone’s gonna get it today.
I wonder if I
still haunt you like you haunt me-
a living nightmare
