Kita Capri Dec 2
Caught beneath the ocean’s blue.
Called your name and you pulled me through.
But as I rose, the waves, they grew
And again, they caught me too.

This time you stood and all well knew
That I couldn’t breathe under all that blue.
So deeper I went and the quieter my screams got,
I called your name
But you were long gone.
I yelled for help
But no one came.
My vision became dark and my body sank.
People passed by without a second glance.

I stopped trying
And opened my eyes.
My vision was filled with pure white.

You started by being my friend,
Then you created a safe haven.
It started out with a few things like redesigning.
Little did I know that these were just the strings.

Soon you assembled a control bar,
That made me bend to your will.
I was too afraid to speak
As you might just release me.
But eventually my arms could not work,
My legs could not move.
My strings were broken and all worn out,

So, you found new strings on another puppet you pulled.
So, I sat in my in my corner and collected dust.
Thinking about how I got fooled.

As days went by, another person came.
They dusted me off and gave me a name.
With no strings and new clothes,
They called me their friend
And said I wouldn’t be played with again.

I'm sorry I made you cry
On all those lonely nights gone by.
I'm sorry you had to fit in
With crowds you didn't want within.

I'm sorry I rejected you,
Lied to you, hated you too.
I'm sorry I let others treat
You like a worthless, downtrodden beat.

I'm sorry I pushed when you were weak:
When eyes were heavy, knees so meek.
I said to live with armor strong,
To not trust people, to just go along.

I thought it best to shield your heart,
So pain and suffering wouldn't start.
But now I see, I've been unkind,
It's time to change, and peace to find.

I'll look into the mirror clear,
And apologize for all the fear.
I'll seek forgiveness from my soul,
To make myself complete and whole.

You’ve loved me through the thick and thin,
Despite the turmoil I put you in.
So now I'll love you, learn to grow,
To live a life that’s free to show.

No longer bound by fear and doubt,
We'll stand apart, we'll shout it out.
This is a reminder –
To love myself, to love you too.

For in the end, it’s plain to see,
The one who matters most is me.

No song, painting, or poem is ever complete,
The rest is up to the viewer, to proceed.
For art is a dialogue, not a monologue,
A collaboration between creator and beholder's creed.

The brushstrokes fade, the notes subside,
The words on paper, a static tide.
Yet, in the silence, the viewer's mind,
Breathes life into the artwork, left behind.

The artist's vision, a spark takes flight,
Igniting imagination, a beacon in the night.
The viewer's perspective, a unique refrain,
Echoes through the masterpiece, forever sustained.

No masterpiece is ever finished, nor done,
For interpretation's journey has just begun.
In the spaces between, the viewer's soul,
Composes the harmony, making the artwork whole.

Thus, art remains, a dynamic, fluid sea,
Evolving, adapting, forever destined to be.
A symphony of meaning, ever-unfolding,
A testament to creativity, forever-told.
