Unpolished Ink
Depression,
a dark and empty place to fall
a tube of silent closing walls
which sneak on in and wrap you tight
they **** the air and drink the light
to leave you crushed in body and soul
a resident of the rabbit-hole

Built off the backs
Of migrant slaves
The American Dream
Is what they claim
A place where women
No longer choose
Instead it’s men
In flashy suits
The rich get richer
While neighbors starve
Injustice cuts deep
Leaving us marred
Though a dream,
A nightmare too

Hard to breathe
Hard to see
Hard to speak
Hard for me

Cannot breathe
Cannot see
Cannot hear
Drowning deep

Don't know where
I could be
I feel fear
In the sea

I look above
Bubbles leave
I hit the ground
Here I sleep

My oxygen
Now deplete
Here I lie
Under the Sea

I solation is what kills me.
S o I scream for helpβ€”
O nly then, silence echoes louder.
L iving amongst false illusion alone,
A life in an empty home of a lonely heart.
T hroughout my time, I use this map.
I tried to find hope in the dark.
O f courseβ€”
N othing shows the path.
Read it backwards, and it will give you a different meaning!
She was once a girl,
with a story untold
A narrative of pain,
that was written in cold
The pages were filled,
with the weight of her past
A burden she carried,
that seemed to forever last

But she's rewriting the script,
with a pen that's bold
Creating a new narrative,
where she's in control
She's turning the page,
on the chapters that hurt
And writing a new story,
where love and joy converge

Like a phoenix from ashes,
she's rising anew
From the flames of her past,
a brighter spirit breaks through
Her wings are unfolding,
as she takes to the sky
A symbol of strength,
as she says goodbye

To the relationships that broke her,
they no longer define
The woman she's becoming,
with a heart that's aligned
She's learning to let go,
of the people who caused pain
And embracing the ones,
who bring love and sustain

Her inner child is healing,
with a gentle hand
A loving guide,
that helps her understand
That she's not alone,
and that she's worthy of love
A deserving soul,
sent from above

She's breaking free from the chains,
that bound her tight
Unshackling her spirit,
and letting her light shine bright
She's finding her voice,
and using it to speak
A powerful woman,
who's no longer meek

Her journey is one,
of transformation and growth
A path that winds and turns,
but always leads to truth
She's discovering her strength,
and all that she can do
A resilient soul,
who's rising anew

Her story is being rewritten,
with each passing day
A new chapter unfolding,
in a brighter way
She's becoming the woman,
she was meant to be
A beautiful soul,
wild and carefree.

~ WAR ~

When the rooster crowed, I stood there,
Hands ****** from the night before,
The dust settling, the bodies emerging,
Like waves of terror crashing upon the shore

I am only seven, there are many dreams I have yet to have
Like of the place where I used to live,
Where the skies were clear, and the sun was bright,
Now nothing seems to go right, even if I've given all I can give

My mother once said, "Bravest are the souls who fight the hardest battles,"
But mama, I'm no soldier
I'm merely a boy whose toys were ripped apart by the exploding shells
And whose life burn with ashes, fire and hell

I'm only seven, but I am no fighter....I just want

~ PEACE ~

You see that tall skyscraper over there?
I'm going to build one just like it someday,
But it will not be a touring spot on display...
it will be my castle, a fortress to stop all those in my way

I am only seven, but I know I have big dreams
To hold the most power in the room, to have the prettiest girl beside me,
Like the movies I have watched, the sky is the limit
And it might be a tad bit cliche but I'll make sure everybody sees it

Greed is not the word that I would exactly use,
But know that I will choose my happiness every single time
I'm not really a fan of violence either
But for this cause, exactly, I'm willing to commit crimes

Going back
to the
Point of
my birth
To ****
the child
So  it will
not have
To endure
the hurt.
I know we can
Choose
our paths
Sadness
and hurt
Prevails,
If I could
**** myself
So not to suffer
These ails.

We are not
Consulted
If we wanted life
I got first prize
This little
*****
Was fertilised.

Nine months in
A darken  room
On me own inside
My Mothers
womb
I popped
out 11th
Of June
Just a baby
a ******* loon.

Got to go back
Don’t you see
To stop the hurt
Thats killing me.
