On The Pull

As the clock hit twelve, they came in
The poets whistle and hum a seducing tune
We'd sloom to the guns choking the highway
Or the flooding of limerence burying us
As the clock hit twelve, they passed on
The shifting lights from the odd passing car
Gives a prim reflection of us pulling our weight
Peaking over the farthest stretch of earth
For our last slim moments thoughts thicken
Great homesickness that cannot be shaken off
Begins to sink in with the stolidness
As we hover over the horizon
With our backs arched against angst

I dreamt about true love so deep I cried
So beautiful and unattainable, still I tried
I tried to hold on as long as I could
Yet my words are so often misunderstood...

With Life
I'm having an affair
I find
I can't live with out her

She's not new to the scene
Still she's all that I need
Life's the main reason
I eat, sleep, and breathe

I feel her happiness
Along with her pain
If I got the chance
I'd do it all over again

She is worth every minute
I spend in this world
As long as she's in it
I'll stick with my girl

Because Life and I
Are having an affair
Where I find
I can't live without her
A loners trail is slowly washed away ,
yet sometimes even the private have their
holiday
Bare feet covered in warm sand , dressed
for sheer comfort , walking the edge of
blue ocean with no place to be
Picturesque sea , gathering gulls , sailing brown
pelicans , forever horizon , white sugar revelry
Clarity returning in waves , morning cloud canopies
corrected in brash , cresting sunshine

VOTING BOOTH

To rationalize
I abstain
To imagine
Can drive one insane
And so from passion
I shall refrain
As I head to
The voting booth

A million sparkling movements every second
We gaze openly from whence we came in -
quiet reverence
For whom the mind rediscovers is a true
lover , to abide in perpetuity captivated in shore song and ambergris , our souls one day returned to the awaiting sea* ..

Are you inhabiting within me oh snake to solve my problems and stress?

Closing my eyelids seeing the vision of your portrait
Opening my eyes feeling your presence of fragrance
Nay a single day passes without your thoughts
Surrendering in your feet oh snake

Singing your tune in my innocent heart
Seeing you living within me ne'er aloof
Nay a single day passes without your thoughts
Surrendering in your feet oh snake!
