Lily pollens glow
rain of tears drops though it rained
petals glow
lily gleam and glow through it reverses time
night crickets chitter in joy
clock hand reverse twelve
midnight bell rings
willow leaves raddle like reindeer bells
pasture sound chitters and shallow
river flow down the stream fast
the wind made tree leaves raddle
so quick time stopped beneath my feet.

a door closes
and I hear him

shuffling down the hallway
his wife of sixty-six years

my mother
asleep, almost invisible

beneath the blankets
as fragile as a baby bird

he stops to wind
the grandfather clock

smiles and nods
“I smell that coffee”

ninety years-old
and still "up-and-at-em”

pills to ration
a newspaper to fetch

dishes to put away
meanwhile

back in their room
dreaming

she remembers
everything

standing by his side
she turns to meet his eyes

Created from dirt
The closest to Earth
Brings on the sense
Of odd anomalies

Opens the window
To the mind
Shows that nature
Is a good time

Creates the world of fantasies
Makes every one
Dance with glee
Till every person falls asleep

When you turn the last page and see my face
do you find that you now hate
the story I wrote?
The part that you played?
The time you had wasted?
When you were trying to reach the end.

Falling
With Wings spread in fright
The  Angels sing but I pay no mind
Locking away the idea of heavens gates
I rolled the dice
Now Earth becomes
my hellish paradise

I converse with
The voices in my head

They talk slowly
So their guidance isn't misread
I have a few drafts. Not sure if it needs more or if short is better

In the golden hour enlivening
With some dreams twirling
Fiery eyes stood waiting
With some emotions drowning
She could not stop thinking
Her heart was clouding
The wilderness was calming
To the soul mystifying
