Cae la noche.
Me abruman algunos recuerdos
de un pasado que no se va,
pero tampoco quiero de vuelta.

Quizás
no sea más que la costumbre,
adentrándose por mi piel
como topo en su madriguera.

Hoy toca dejarlo ir.

Soltar al viento
todo aquello que un día fue,
y no volverá.

Ahogar en mi verso el pasado.

Puede que de eso se trate la vida.
De soltar.
Renacer con cada golpe,
como ave Fénix de las cenizas.

I hate when they say,
“ Now, you truly look happy!”
You never saw me then
Tell me, who's most at fault?

Me; for believing you?

You; for doing whatever it took to fill up your loneliness?
We are all only human
We all have feelings
Happy
Sad
Good
Bad
Low
High
Up
Down
I know I’m not the only one
We are only human

Oh! my sweet First Love
my sweet teenage dream
you came into my life when
I had nothing
no fancy cars, no fancy clothes
no money
But you still came.

You loved me for my
flaws, for my
clumpsiness
for who I was

You came totally unexpected
into my life, when I didn't even
care to love myself
You loved me for who I was.

But then you didn't even last long
you vanished
from my life just like
the way you came.

It was on our school
farewell when I saw you for the one last
time
Our eyes met
Both smiled
knowing the fact that maybe
in next life
you'd be my
First Love again.
When you’re alone,
Or with others,
Enjoy the poems
Between these covers.

Poems of love and hope,
Praise and pride,
The times we laughed,
The times we cried.

Through the years,
From birth till now,
We grew in number,
And thrived somehow.

Your natural talents
And acquired skills,
Fill my pages
With timely thrills.

You weren’t entitled,
You didn’t squander,
You earned the prizes
For your endeavours.

Read now how it came together.
Introductory poem for my anthology of family poetry.
