At one time
Every atom in your body
Belonged to a star
A beautiful burning
Ball of hydrogen in space
In the first grade
When they gave you
Those stickers that read
'You're a Star'
They weren't lying
So when I wish for a star
I'm really just wishing for you
And maybe
You'll be wishing
On that very same star
For me too.
11w
the idea of someone
being in love with me
is laughable
Happiness is just temporary, Happiness never stays
They say happiness is choice, but it only chooses you on particular days
Happiness is a traitor, it will leave you high and dry
But happiness is all we crave for, without it, we only live to die

Happiness is not a cure, hopefully someone out there understands
That Happiness is a burden, like holding a beating heart in your hands
Happiness is found all around you, if you look closely, you might see
But I’m lost in a world of illusions, seeing nightmares instead of dreams

Happiness has a limit, like a meaning behind a smile
Finding reasons to keep you happy, that’ll eventually get old after awhile
For Happiness doesn't last, neither does anything else
We live in a world of agony, pleasing people other than ourself
do you know
what's harder than
crying?

when people think
you're fine
because your eyes
don't look puffy
nor are they bloodshot.

do you know
what's harder than
losing sleep?

when people think
you sleep peacefully,
dreaming behind your closed eyelids.

do you know
what's harder than
living?

when people think
you've moved on,
looking for a new life.

the hardest thing of all, though,
is when i have to go through them all,
but without you.
I fear love
as much as I
fear pain
This poem responds to why I'm not ready for love.. It's because I fear it. And most people would believe that love is something you should embrace and I know I will when time has come.. But until then, love will be my deepest fear..
