Here
in the solitude
of my darkness
emotion causes
temporary blindness
I dive deep into the layers
of blanketed black
covering myself
for comfort
the stars sparkle to me
in their own language
yet I cannot hear them
for the rush in my ears
my heart
stirs beneath my chest
as my sword stays in scabbard
fires in the brush
leave their embers
I take some cinders and
slash them over
my cheeks
to match this inner night
with purity
try to still the
murky waters
of my being
and then
in one outpour of dark vessel
I am flooded
the scent of blood
in the air
the taste of tears
upon my tongue
and..Hush!
the night is gone but for
the candle's
second-long
flicker

Sometimes it's good to be scared.
It means you've still got something to lose...

People like you,
The good people,
They always die.

And the bad people,
They do too.

But the weak people,
Like me.

We have inherit
The Earth.

If yelling at her in an argument doesn't make your throat burn like you just downed 6 shots,
you don't love her.
If her eyes can't make you stop in your tracks and think about what you're about to say next,
you're not in love with her.
If her laugh doesn't make you tense up your knuckles thinking about never hearing it again,
you're not in love with her.
If her voice can't calm you're worst anxiety attacks and makes you want to listen to anything she has to say,
you're not in love with her.
If her smile doesn't make you're chest quake and your lungs shrink but feel refreshed all in one motion,
you're not in love with her.
If her taking off her clothes is when you pay the most attention to her, you're not in love with her.

"Shh," she hushes me.

I watch her close her mouth, then her eyes. But her very soul, she exposed to everyone, to me, in the auditorium. The music begins, and I literally see the intro of the song sink into her skin. I notice her shiver; not that i didn't want to put my arm around her to warm her up because it wasn't the temperature of the room. It was the music. She was feeling it. She is it. Her breathing to the piano's notes, her heart beat rhythmic to the dancing fingers on the keys: I can see it all. Her shoulders rising and falling--

"Oh," she softly speaks, pulling me out of my melodic reverie. "Did i just-- A tear, how silly of me to cry."

But before she could wipe her cheek, I took her hand in mine and kissed the tear away. She had this confused look, but it soon melted as I neared her.

She was not only music, she was a symphony. And every fiber of me was in tune with her, and there wasn't anything else in the room which I payed attention to.
This is like, what I imagine my first date to be. I pray that one day, wjh will see me this way.

Written from the boy's point of view.

Does it take a genius
To recognize genius?
It doesn't take a fool
To know one when he sees one
And all the losers at school
Know who is cool
And the wise man knows
None of this matters
