Flicker, Flicker,
Little Firefly
Flit about and show us why
Why you dance and sing

Flicker about in the night
Show us the way, show us your light
Illuminate the world around you
Give it beauty, with all of your might

Flicker, Flicker,
Little Firefly
Give the world a new mystique
Show us knights and dragons by the fire
Show us lost souls, empires and creatures
Dimly by the fire

Tell your story, come with me
We shall live together and be free
We shall dance in the pale moonlight on your wings
After the flame has long been snuffed
Even with the changing tides
You shall here remain,
My little Firefly.
Just a cutsie little thing. I imagined an enchanted forest glowing with lightning bugs, magical and beautiful in the summer twilight.

Sing a song
Tell me your name
Quote a man
And your never ending pain.
All these years
Which you have kept
From you and me
All the same.

Girl sing a song
Tell me your pain
Show me your scars
Of all those wars.
That you have fought
In the name
of god
All the same.

Sing me a song
Tell me your name.
We will sing it along
All the same.
Of all those scars in the name of war which never heal. No war brought any good to this world.

home is where the heart is
and my heart lies in the mountains,
with nights of hot cocoa and campfires;
with the soaring trees, bad cameras.
and in the center of it all, laughter and midnight games.
the dresses, the stars, the countless walks. . .
my heart belongs to those in the beds next to mine,
and in the eyes of him. loud songs and braided hair make me smile.
and yes, my heart is with you.
my poems never seem to make any sense, but i just really miss home. it doesn't feel like i'm at home right now.
