Plant a tree,
Water a flower,
Preserve nature.
Have a purpose!

Feed a bird,
Cuddle a pet,
Be humane to animals.
Have a purpose!

Save a life,
Nurture an orphan,
Stand up with the oppressed.
Have a purpose!

Count your blessings,
Recite your prayers,
Contemplate the universe.
Have a purpose!

Nurture your mind with ideas,
Fill your heart with the wine of love,
Dress your soul with the garment of kindness.
Have a purpose!

dry and entering a shepard tone;

endless summer, sauntering, and my inner thighs are (yawn) raw from the sauntering.
endless spring, thawing icicles into
endless christmas morning.

this is not lavender, this is brighter;
i’ve underestimated everything.

suckerpunched into the bend of me,
deepening my lean to an acute degree,
like balled fist, like fortress, like fetus: potentialities.

wild chance is a hellmouth
salivating—
“a shepard tone creates the illusion of continuously swelling sound, which can build tension or suspense.”

this is an attempt to emulate a shepard tone through poetry

He was smooth but not understanding
He was charming but not loyal
He was beautiful but a manipulator
I knew this would come to and end
I knew I was a fool
He was secure but brought my insecurity
He was strong inside but not loving
He was my first but never mine
take my hand
and set me free
help me live
and let me be
i miss you

i admit it

I want my complexities
to dazzle my company
Make them think that this poetry
Easily flowed out of me
Like it was simple artistry
Like I don’t suffer from anxiety
Like I don’t know insecurity
Like I didn’t lie awake all of last night
feeling inadequate when I realized

This was all I was going to write

He just wants to lay on the beach
with his belly so fat he can't see to
teach his toes how to tingle
and then wonders why
he's still a single guy.

The gymnasium's next to the aquarium
but he's a fish out of water
can't breathe at the thought of
exercise.

One day the tide will come in
attached to a ******' big fin
and the shark underneath
will be the finish
of him.
The cold, cold day-
Seems to drag on,
With the sky still crying,
Nothing seems to move on.

I feel conflicted,
Everything inside,
Burns through and through,
Nothing left to reside.

its july.
him
hands like feathers
searching through my heat
sweet sounds
echo through our walls
the words he speaks
are wisdom to me
my body, his teeth
vague curses to deep
I take a picture,
two minds intertwined.
two lives unwind.
he makes this work,
oh, my love.
maybe his hands
will bring me whole
while,
fleshy vessels pumping blood
ache selfishly for his touch
he's mine.
even with my sick mind.
These things that we're attracted to

the magnet

that pulls me to you,

the energy that flows

through

you to me

in turn

we turn the world around

the sky becomes

our hallowed ground

these are the

things

that we're

attracted to

you breathed your name.

I shouted out

and love was

is

it's all about

these are the

things

that we're attracted to

and when the moon seduced the sun

the magnet, stronger pulls us on.

the night that pulls me closer in

to you

the dawn that broke through hallowed ground

became the sound of your heartbeat

these are the things

attracting me to you.
