Night,
I love you
like a bride
loving her body,
the madman
the desert,
like the horse
loves its shadow,
the sad the lighthearted,
I love you like
a wanderer his ballad,
a poet his dark room,
like the moon.

my soul
drinking her beauty
through my eyes…
like
a tree
drinking sunlight
through its leaves..
Ticking clocks
And marching ants
Alligator skin
Crocodile tears
And wings of angels
Different angles
Many alleys
All my allies
Lay down their arms
At my command

If only forever
Satin skin and living pleasure
These words you speak
Intonations said by me
If I find a way

Lost hours
My way in days
Turtle dove
Carrier pigeon
Battleship
And submarines
Submereged in color
Aquamarine
Sight unseen
Is my belief

And if only light will shine
Bright enough to make me blind
I'll find my way by feeling

I feel you
You are the language written on my soul
the sun disappears
some say the world goes to sleep
but really it wakes
" There is a name of God on every
Child's lips, and the word is
Mother"

    I looked upon her body
That began to leave itself
Suddenly into some stairway
I could not see in my grief.

    Mother of the Light,
You took the dawn with you.

The gilded heights that took
You, not the blameless bullet,
But the fleece of flesh you wore,
Now shed to spread your wings,
       Watch over you children's
Children mother of biological blood.
   Cover every atom, every electron,
With your mist that went away in
A flash, your delicate nature be blessed
Hovering over the earth.

    Ceremony of children,
Loving a mother never stops.
Dedicated to my Mother, Yolanda Hernandez Gonzales
